                                                 ~WOBBLING~

When my children were young (for now behold, they are becoming old...for I am a Grandpa some 12 times over) but once when they were young they had a "Weeble Play House!" This Playhouse even had a Song : "Weebles Wobble, but they don't fall down!"Unlike most people, Weebles were well-rounded; so, when they got knocked-down, they righted themselves ...perhaps they Wobbled, but they never fell down!

This would be nice if it pertained to people, would it not.

My Zen Priest Brother shares with me that Old Zen Saying : "When sitting, just  sit.

                                                                                        When standing, just stand.

                                                                                        Above all, don’t wobble!

Communication-wise we are all so very much 'connected', and yet we don't communicate much anymore, even with ourselves. For most of us, all this talking, working or surfing the net are not what is stressful; it's the wobbling ! We are at the place where we no longer move with ease between and betwix anything... We are compulsively connected via all these gadgets, and this new thing "twittering"... yet, isn't that the problem; and we wind-up wobbling our life away!

All these new technologies bring us into constant communication, but in reality our life becomes compulsive rather than connective, as we even become dis-connected with ourselves and each other...overloaded! All this 'connectedness' has impeded our very lives, and the result is wobbling ! We are out of Sync with our lives, with what is of ultimate importance in our lives. The nurture is gone...We are so connected that we are alone and adrift...wobbling. Someone has pulled the rug out from underneath us.

Perhaps (and for sure some) we are using the so-called communication boom to insulate ourselves from life, and we thus lose...wobble, skip, crash and burn.

A question: In your life, right now, what is important ? Why do you do whatever it is you do? How are you defining yourself these days? Ultimately, who are you... Oh, yeah, and what's important...or perhaps better yet, what's missing ?

Hey, Hey...I don't have time for this, the World is upside-down...it ain't what it used to be ! Actually it is…really! "Reality is that which, when you stop believing in it, doesn’t go away" !

The Ancient Taoist Sage entreated me to take stock, and find out what's what...what's important . The Old Sage said to be careful however, and do not confuse having less with being less, or having more with being more, or confusing what you have with what you are !

The Old Sage said SLOW DOWN...cease this Twittering, Faxing, E-mailing, Text-messaging etc. The faster we tend to go in life, the sooner life blurs... and we wobble.

    Blessings

    Fred
