The Grace of the Every Day Tuesday, 16 September 2008 - Written by Fred Gordon Please pardon my Silence as of late...
True healing, defined, is so limited, and so, is not true healing ! In the final realization, a miracle is merely the truth made plain. Healing is merely our separation from GOD / the Source, made whole. The mind and the quality of mind is all that goes on with us.

I ponder a lot as of late. Speaking with my brother this morning, he said something profound: "As for me, I'm OK-ish...Frazzled, busy whilst also feeling completely detached from most all that I am engaged in at the moment it, not just because of the fallout over Dad (who also has multiple myeloma, and is a Priest, who in an earlier stage of life trained the French Army to fight in Vietnam), but also because this is all fundamentally trivial...when I would rather be dealing with things that matter, i.e. people and their souls. This may be an issue for me as time goes by."

Life is interesting and CHANGE HAPPENS! Having been raised in a home environment of discipline and duty, etc, and also having had four different Fathers, has given me a certain outlook. Having joined the military directly out of high school, and going immediately from seven years in the Army to Seminary has given me a structure of life as well. Our purpose is to share our thoughts and the thoughts of our elder school brothers and sisters about our experiences training in traditional martial arts for fighting skill as well as "spiritual" and meditative purposes.
It is our belief that martial arts offer a unique perspective to approaching the spiritual side within us. We live in a world which is plagued with anger and violence. The martial arts are a way to harness and overcome negative actions and emotions. The internal martial arts that we practice are the antithesis of violence, they train us to control our own dark side and to protect ourselves from the misguided actions of others.

I had an exceptional Fathers Day! We got up at O'dark-thirty and headed for the Hot Air Balloon launch on the other-side of town. Then to Breakfast with my youngest Son, Noah. Then back to the Balloon Festival for the Car Show. My friend Mark had his Camaro R/S in the show.
Then we came home, (I had walked way-to-much) and took a nap. Dawn grilled steaks , cut-up lots of WATERMELON, and as usual out-did herself with yet another gifted-meal. Being a Scotsman, I'm practical, so I asked for a new belt, a particular Book on Taoist Energetics, and for my Hybred-Bike to be tuned. Oh, and I got a Bart Simpson Fathers Day card with Sound !
