    Chi Gung Tui Na: Energy Bodywork Weekend Workshops

    Saturday and Sunday, TBA 2008

    This four weekend program teaches you powerful and unique healing methods from China for comprehensive structural balancing, revitalizing the joints, promoting healing of injuries and trauma, releasing blockages in the muscles, fascia, nerves and chi, and promoting improved internal organ function. These methods are especially effective for releasing structural patterns that have spread throughout the body over time, and for integrating the components of the structural and energetic systems into a stable state of health and well-being.

    • Structural and Energy Balancing of the Lower Body.
    • Hands-on methods and Chi Gung integration exercises for the legs, hips, knees, ankles and feet.
    • Structural and Energy Balancing of the Upper Body.
    • Hands-on methods and Chi Gung integration exercises for the arms, shoulders, elbows, wrists, and hands.
    • Structural and Energy Balancing of the Back and Neck. Connecting Up the Whole Body.
      Hands-on methods and Chi Gung integration exercises for the spine and body as a whole.
    •  Internal Organ Energy Balancing.
    • Hands-on methods and Chi Gung integration exercises for the internal organs.

    This hands-on bodywork workshop series is particularly useful for bodywork therapists, Asian bodywork practitioners, acupuncturists, chiropractors, structural balancing bodywork practitioners and physical therapists. These powerful hands-on healing methods can be integrated easily with other methods. No prerequisites. Everyone is welcome.

    • Learn hands-on methods to balance improper alignment of the body and joints.
    • Chi Gung exercises you can teach to your clients to stabilize and strengthen the proper structural alignment of the body.
    • Integrate the joints and energy centers by threading the energy which connects them.
    • Release energetic blockages in the core energy pathways in the center of the joints and bone marrow.
    • Unwind physical and energetic blockages in the body's spiraling pathways affecting the muscles, fascia and core energy pathways.

    Susan taught Chi Gung Tui Na for over 10 years to bodyworkers, doctors, and Asian Bodywork Practitioners as part of the Asian Bodywork two-year degree program and 500-hour Chi Gung Tui Na diploma programs she developed. She is a Certified Instructor of Asian Bodywork Therapy by the AOBTA (American Organization of Bodywork Therapies of Asia.)

    Dragon & Tiger Chi Gung

    March 15, April 19, May 17, June 21 2008

    Third Saturday of the month, 9:30 am - 12:30 pm

    This effective and gentle health exercise is easy to learn. Dragon & Tiger Chi Gung can be done in as few as two minutes on breaks.  This complete health-oriented Chi Gung exercise, strengthens and balances all parts of the body. It is used in China to energize and heal the body as well improve physical balance and coordination. It is very effectively used there for chronic fatigue, burnout, immune deficiency and degenerative diseases, and for high performance by healing practitioners, athletes and businessmen.

    By increasing the flow of chi (energy) in the meridian lines used in the healing arts, these exercises reduce stress, improve flexibility, and increase vitality.  By building the internal chi inherent in your body, you can begin a lifelong program for prevention and treatment of illness, injury and burnout as used in China.

    ·        Beginners learn the seven movements of Dragon and Tiger and chi development exercises that energize the movements.

    ·        Intermediate students review the movements in more detail and learn additional chi development exercises to supercharge the movements.

    Dragon & Tiger Chi Gung's gentle movements are appropriate for any age and fitness level. No prerequisites. It is best to attend all 4 sessions.

    Energy Gates Chi Gung

    Third Saturday of the month except December, 9:30 am - 12:30 pm

    Relieve stress-related illness, heal chronic joint problems, move your lymph, strengthen your vascular system, and build internal strength. This course covers opening the spiraling pathways of the body, strengthening and energizing the internal organs and spine, and adjusting internal biomechanical alignments to prevent body damage. Minimize the stress on your body while moving, sitting, or working and improve performance. Open your core energy system with Standing Chi Gung practices. These movements increase vitality and are used in China to heal 70% of health problems

    • Beginners learn Standing, Cloud Hands and Spine Stretch. Stabilize good body mechanics, regain a spring in your step and relieve back problems.Intermediate Energy Gates is taught simultaneously for students repeating the class.
    • Intermediate students review the movements in more detail and learn the Three Swing Movements that balance the lower, middle and upper body, including the digestive organs, lungs, heart, brain, shoulders, and arms.
    • Further develop good body mechanics and alignments to restore spring in the joints, and support strengthening and healing the joints and the back.

    Energy Gates Chi Gung's gentle movements are appropriate for any age and fitness level. No prerequisites. It is best to attend all 4 sessions.

    Open Chi Gung Class - Review, Refine and Deepen

    This small group class format is similar to a semi-private lesson. Get individual feedback enabling you to fine tune and upgrade any of your Chi Gung movements. Bring up any specific health goals or challenges and receive suggestions on specific Chi Gung movements to do to address those goals and learn to focus on aspects of the Chi Gung movements that are important for addressing your goals.

    Course fee:

    $45 per class.
