    August 29 to September 2, 2010

Dragon and Tiger is one of the most powerful and effective qigong sets ever developed in China. This 1,500-year-old traditional medical qigong system quickly gives you a recognizable feeling of chi and is ideal for any age or fitness level. In China, Dragon and Tiger is known for its ability to help prevent and heal cancer, as well as to mitigate the effects of chemotherapy and radiation. For those in the medical and healing professions, this is an excellent introduction to medical qigong. Beginners will focus on the seven movements as well the chi aspects within them that optimize their health effects.

Experienced practitioners will learn deeper aspects including:
    • Stretching and moving the joints
    • Releasing tension, stress, and physical and emotional pain
    • Increasing energy levels and stamina.

Dragon and Tiger qigong helps the body get rid of the stagnant chi found where there’s a physical, emotional or psychic blockage of energy. This practice also improves the flow of chi, blood and other fluids. This balances and increases the body’s energy which boosts its natural healing capacities. As you continue to practice Dragon and Tiger you are likely to become more aware of the different parts of your body and begin to gain a sense of your chi moving along its pathways. As this happens, you’ll learn to use your intent together with your movements to more effectively build and circulate your chi. Everyone is welcome; this course is particularly beneficial for body workers, acupuncturists and healthcare professionals to avoid burnout.
