Teacher certifications are valid for 2 years. After that time, instructors must be recertified every 2 years to ensure that they are still teaching the material correctly.

Level Two instructors must be tested by Bruce Frantzis. Level One teachers may be recertified by certain Senior Instructors. Bruce sometimes has time to test people during retreats (there is no charge for his time if you are a retreat participant). Don't leave it to the last minute - no free testing is available once the event is over.

    Recertification Fees

You will pay the Senior Instructor (or Bruce Frantzis, if he is testing you) whatever their private lesson rate is for the amount of time the testing takes. This time will vary depending upon whether you need further instruction in order to pass the test. Bruce sometimes has time to test people during retreats (there is no charge for his time if you are a retreat participant). Don't leave it to the last minute - no free testing is available once the event is over. In addition you must pay a recertification fee of $50 to Energy Arts for the subject for which you are recertifying. If there are two or more subjects for which you are certified, the recertification fee is reduced to for each subject. An administrative fee to Energy Arts is also due from students who have received Certificates of Attendance who later retest to get instructor certification. These students should pre-test with a recertifier to determine whether they are eligible to be tested by Bruce. Recertifiers are not authorized to test those who receive

    Certificates of Attendance

Our experience to date is that many instructors do not pass recertification on the first try. After receiving and then practicing suggestions for improvements, most pass on the second try. Bruce requires that the senior instructor who issues the recertification must actually see you perform the movements correctly.

If you pass the test, the Senior Instructor will give you a signed form. Mail that form, with your original certificate, protected with thick cardboard with a self-addressed envelope (in which Energy Arts will return your certificate re-signed by B. K. Frantzis), and the recertification fee (checks payable to Energy Arts) to: Energy Arts, P. O. Box 99, Fairfax, CA 949787-0099.

Removal from List of Energy Arts Certified Teachers

Certifications expire after two years. Teachers with expired certifications may be removed from the certified instructors list on the Energy Arts website. An instructor may be put back on the list at a later date if he or she passes the recertification test.
