    Chi Gung/Qigong Conquers Chronic Fatigue

I had Epstein-Barr virus. My fatigue was so complete that I couldn't read, had to crawl to the kitchen and I was very depressed. A housemate of mine dragged me to Bruce Frantzis' classes. I spent most of the early classes sitting. After 3 to 4 weeks, the chi gung began to take hold, and by the end of the first ten-week session, there were times I felt I could lift a building!

    Lower Blood Pressure

After studying chi gung and Wu style Tai Chi with Bruce Frantzis for a year, my at rest heart rate dropped from an average of about 60-65 bpm to about 50-52 bpm, and blood pressure readings dropped about 8-10 points on both the systolic and diastolic ranges. I am more than thankful to have these practices available to assist in maintaining my general good health.

Chi Gung/Qigong Helps Avoid Hernia Surgery

Over a year ago I was diagnosed with a Bilateral Inguinal Hernia. The doctors recommended surgery. I decided to explore other possibilities, mainly Taoist chi gung, including Heaven and Earth, Dragon and Tiger, Energy Gates and Gods Playing in the Clouds. In my recent check-up after one year of the above practice, the left side was completely healed and free of pain. The right is free of pain and healing. The doctor, needless to say, was amazed. Thank you, Bruce!

Tai Chi Helps Patients Doctors Have Given Up On

I have been working since 1999 for the first UK hospital to use tai chi as a complementary therapy. I teach people who are suffering from multiple sclerosis, chronic fatigue, rheumatism, arthritis, heart conditions, unresolved pain—basically anyone the doctors cannot further help. They give me their notes and details and I try to work out what is best for them. Their improvement is dramatic and many have reduced their medications. Amazing!

    Tai Chi Reverses Polio Damage

Since I had polio as a child, my right leg was shortened and a lot of muscles in that leg and my right side were not completely functional. In a few months of practicing tai chi, my balance improved so much that I am now able to stand on my right leg alone without falling for the first time since I got polio in 1953. Also, several muscles in my lower leg have “appeared” and begun to function again after all this time. Over the past two years, chi gung improved my situation quite a bit, but once I started tai chi the progress was dramatic.
