From Anger to Relaxation

I tried many things to help me overcome deep, internal discomfort and dissatisfaction. I lived almost entirely in my brain. I was not capable of feeling a strong connection with others. I was self-critical and became angry at most any imperfections of my fellow beings. Then I read Opening the Energy Gates of Your Body. The process of standing and slowly dissolving bound energy made sense.

"The changes came about in small increments. It took a while before I knew what feeling inside my body was like. More time before my mind easily focused on different parts of my body. There were no huge mileposts of achievements. It’s hard to remember when I began to go from dissatisfaction and discomfort to more satisfaction and relaxation.

"But when I look back, I see that in eight years I am a different person than I was. I don’t feel lost. I have less and less anger. Imperfections in myself and others don’t take up a lot of attention. I feel connected. I am comfortable inside myself. More and more, it’s okay to be me. It’s a big relief."
