Hi everyone,

I got Senior Instructor (and my first qigong teacher!) Bill Ryan to share his thoughts on developing awareness of internal energy. He had some really great advice for people who can't feel chi (you probably can!) and people who are hyper-sensitive.

Let me know what you think.

Thanks,
Dan

What is the qi paradigm is

What is the qi paradigm is wrong? What is happening then? Same goes for acupuncture, reiki, etc. Clearly, something is happening. But you know me, Dan. Yi is much more important.

For all who don't know me, be skeptical, self experiment, draw your own conclusions, report them here.

I agree, Buddy. What you do

I agree, Buddy. What you do with your awareness and intention is paramount.

For me, Bill's advice was helpful because it gave me a framework for approaching people who are tuned in different ways. For example, are you more attuned to your physical body, your thoughts, or emotions (I sort of believe we have an equally poor explanation of thoughts and emotions if you apply the same "chi doesn't exist" criteria to them).

So far, and I'm with you on the healthy skepticism, this paradigm has done pretty well at fitting my experiences together. YMMV, right?

Wow, thanks for the topic, I

Wow, thanks for the topic, I just hit on this forum from google and this is a thing that always interests me, also not only information about the people who don't feel it about 'what it is', but I am actually very interested on how to cope when you are hyper sensitive. I actually don't think I am hyper-sensitive, just sensitive, but compared to other people obviously hyper. Also it is really awful that you can never discuss this kind of topic as to how, why and where energy is good and not so good actually, although as I could think as in many other spiritual sphere a lot of nonsense liars could appear which would make the debate absurd.
