All the body’s internal systems are healthiest when pulsating in a natural rhythm. During this one week course Bruce will teach the pulsing techniques unique to Taoist energy arts. Using qi (chi) rather than muscular strength, Bruce will share methods of creating superior health through bending and stretching the body's tissues, pulsing the joints and body cavities, and Taoist breathing techniques.

The Marrige of Heaven and Earth Qigongⁱ and Tai Chiⁱ Circling Hand are especially useful for movement and bodywork practitioners to learn how to integrate the opening and closing of the joints into their practice and to project energy from their hands for healing.

Between learning the form movements of tai chi and being able to use them for self-defense are series of two-person sensitivity and power exercises called Push Handsⁱ. During this seven day workshop, Master Frantzis will teach a program any tai chi teacher regardless of style (Wu, Yang or Chen) can use to organize a complete basic Push Hands program for their school based on both standardized choreographed two-person movements and exercises to learn freestyle Push Hands.

Since openings and closings are essential to Push Hands, this course is a natural extension to the Marriage of Heaven and Earth Instructor Training that it follows.

This course will review and be a continuation of the most recent Push Hands Intensive in Brookline MA (June 2012). New techniques, training methods and practical information will be presented.

Bruce Frantzis’ Tai Chi Circling Hands exercise method teaches you how to do all the essential circular movements, alignments and weight shifting contained within any Tai Chi form. Within these movements you can also practice everything you learn in Heaven and Earth Qigong and dramatically increase the energy level in your body. The three Circling Hand movements are simple to learn and provide an ideal physical and energetic workout. Circling Hands offers an easy and dynamic way for instructors to teach the external movement principles and the internal qi practices of tai chi. It prepares students to learn any tai chi form and opens the door to experience the deeper healing aspects of tai chi.

During this three week course Bruce will also demonstrate how Heaven and Earth Qigong energetics can be incorporated into tai chi and bagua forms.
