The Taoist Meditation tradition is extremely relevant to life in the fast-paced computer age. It also helps people resolve and come to terms with many of the spiritual questions that human beings have been exploring for millenia:
The aim at the beginning states of Taoist meditation is to develop an awareness of subtle energy in your body and to maintain that awareness. Foundational skills include proper alignments, breathing, concentration and staying present to what is inside you.
As your practice progresses, you begin to attain deeper layers of inner stillness and to become aware of Universal Consciousnessii. The core practice at this stage is Taoist inner dissolving which you can practice in five modalities: sitting, standing, moving, lying down or in partner exercises. You learn to let go and develop more spontaneity in your life. The benefits at this stage include gaining emotional harmony, and releasing structural blockages, traumas and fixations in your emotional, mental and psychic bodies.
This course will focous on using spinal neigongi methods and reverse breathing techniques during the inner dissolving process. Specifically Bruce will address:
I first met Bruce in 1992, as a 17 year old, I had all sorts of fantasies about becoming strong and learning to defend myself. Bruce taught me that through hard work and daily practice a world of incredible depth and peace can be found within the art of Ba Gua Zhang that goes far beyond the ability to knock out King Kong.
