Hello and greetings from Canada. I am a 56 year old male. My intent was to join the Bagua Mastery program more than a year ago but life happens and was thrown a bad card in the form of a stage 3 kidney cancer diagnosis. The surgery involved the complete removal of the left kidney and also the complete removal of the spleen. It has been over 3 months since the surgery and now I am starting to feel that the recovery has been successful however still early. In early October, I will be getting an MRI to determine if follow-up chemo and radiation are necessary. Currently all signs point to this additional therapy as not required. Here's hoping.

I would appreciate any comments and/or recommendations of which Energy Art would be appropriate to study in conjunction with my continuing recovery. And if they would be conducive to future training in both Bagua and Hsing-i.

Thank you in advance.

Regards,

Armand

Hi Armand, I definitely

Hi Armand,

I definitely second Sito's recommendation of Dragon & Tiger Medical Qigong. D&T is well known as a powerful tool for boosting the system when treating or recovering from cancer. It will also provide beneficial background information and skills for when you begin your study of Bagua. As a bonus, there are also extensive long distance learning tools that are available for this qigong set (book, DVDs, complete online course), making it an ideal place to begin learning from home.

Good Luck!

Paul

Because Dragon and Tiger Qigong is a simple and effective qigong practice, it is taught to students at the College of Integrated Chinese Medicine. Tracing the meridian lines helps our students to become more sensitive to both their own and their patients' chi and enables them to become better acupuncturists.
