Strings of the Tao is a unique musical and meditative experience. In a live performance, Bruce Frantzis's ancient liturgies mingle seamlessly with the vibrant timbre of Steve Kindler's violin. Rich in vibrational overtones, they evoke a compelling expanse and resonant energy to move you into a deeply relaxed internal space.
During his training as a Taoist priest in China, Frantzis learned 3,000 liturgical chants to animate and unite the eight energy bodies in the neigongi system of energy flow. He is believed to be the only Westerner in the world to have studied this ancient acoustic technology.
As he introduces each incantation, Bruce explains the meaning behind them and advises how they can be used in meditation to work with your chi. Listen to Strings
of the Tao as you practice any type of energy work or just merely for deep relaxation.
Steve Kindler is a virtuoso classical and jazz violinist whose ability and curiosity have led him on a musical odyssey through many different styles of music. He has toured and recorded with John McLaughlin's fusion jazz band The Mahavishnu Orchestra, guitarist Jeff Beck, Jan Hammer and Kitaro.
Total playing time: 71 minutes
In November 2009 I was lucky to attend The Chi Rev Workout workshop in Basel Switzerland with Bruce. There I learned D&T movement 1, 4 and 5 and began practicing on a regular basis.
Since then - the really great thing is - that I do not suffer from springtime pollen allergies anymore. This is my 3rd year allergy free.
Recently I completed the online D&T course and I am now able to perform the full set of seven movements with ease.
