Tai Chi Circling Hands: Exploring Neigong, Circularity, & Qi
July 17 - July 22
Tai Chi Circling Hands is one of the best possible ways to begin or deepen an existing qigong, tai chi, or other internal arts practice. The movements themselves can be learned quickly, yet yield an incredible depth while also acting as a container for learning advanced skills.
This single simple practice can deliver an extraordinary amount of the health benefits and skill usually associated with only more complex tai chi forms and difficult to learn qigong sets.
The study of Circling Hands begins with understanding all of the ways in which circles can be formed in the body. This includes the three primary circles of vertical, horizontal, and coronal. These three circles are combined with both stationary and shifting footwork that integrates the body’s energy and physicality in profound ways.
In this course students will be learning:
- How to understand and embody continuous circularity in body and mind
- Integrating the upper and lower body together for better balance and function
- Feeling and working with the energy field (etheric) just outside of the body
- Opening & Closing the joints for comfort, health, and power
- Working with the connective tissue (ligaments, tendons, fascia) of the body to create effortless and fluid movement
- Enhancing your existing tai chi & qigong forms by deepening your “neigong”
Plus much more!
For those who wish to take part in Master Frantzis’ course Stillness in Movement: Tai Chi & Bagua as Meditation, but who do not currently know a tai chi or bagua form…this course will also give you a movement practice that will allow you to participate in that event confidently.
World Class Instruction
Craig is a Senior Instructor in the Energy Arts system and has been practicing and teaching tai chi, qigong, meditation, and the internal arts for over 30 years. He has studied actively with Master Frantzis since 1987 and teaches internationally around the world. He is one of a select few instructors who have been authorized by Master Frantzis to certify instructors in his system. Craig is known for his gentle yet thorough approach, and his ability to present complex material in a relaxed and direct way that makes it come alive for students.
Intellectual Understanding vs. Embodied Understanding
There can be an ocean of difference between understanding something in your head and feeling it in your body. Truly grasping this can transform your practice and multiply its benefit to your energy, body, and life.
This event will be focused on not only giving you a greater understanding of qigong and the context of how to apply it, but more importantly leading you into feeling the practice taking root in your body.
Several sessions of this course will be devoted to working with fellow students and instructors in a hands-on way to give you the best possible opportunity to leave the course with the felt sensation of what you’re trying to accomplish in your practice.
These skills will benefit and enrich you for a lifetime!

Enjoy Good Company in Beautiful Colorado!
A standout experience of attending an Energy Arts event in-person is sharing the time with an amazing group of people who are as deeply interested in energetic practices as you are. You’ll be enjoying the support and encouragement of practitioners with experience levels all the way from first day beginners, through attendees that have been practicing and teaching the Energy Arts system for decades.
To top it off, you’ll be learning right at the foot of the majestic Rocky Mountains. The world famous Rocky Mountain National Park is just a scenic 45 minute drive from the school. Or stay closer to home and enjoy a walk around beautiful Lake McIntosh just a few minutes drive away. The Pearl Street walking mall in nearby Boulder is also a great way to spend some downtime when you’re unwinding from class or on a day off.
Being here is an experience in itself!
We will be referring to the local governmental guidelines to prevent the spread of Covid-19. Boulder County is currently at status level CLEAR. Level Clear does not have any mandatory mitigation requirements for businesses or gatherings.
In the interest of abundant caution and to maintain more generous room spacing, we’ll currently be limiting event attendance to 75 participants. If local and national advisories continue to trend positively, we will be re-evaluating the course limit on June 17 and may choose to open an additional 25 spots for registration (still well below our total room capacity under normal circumstances).
Our event training hall is spacious with excellent air turnover. We will have multiple high capacity UV enhanced air filters operating throughout the course as well as ozone air treatments during off course hours. Heightened cleaning protocols will also be in place.
We will be following local governmental guidelines regarding masking requirements. Currently, Boulder County is at Level Clear, meaning there are no mandatory mask wearing requirements for businesses or gatherings.
Please feel free to mask to your level of comfort regardless of local advisories. Be prepared to wear a mask at the event should local guidelines change.
Participants will not be required to present proof of vaccination to attend.
Should you develop symptoms of illness (fever, nausea, sore throat, coughing, etc.), you must notify event staff immediately and you will not be permitted to come to class. After your symptoms have cleared, you will need to present a clear Covid-19 test in order to return to the event. You will be issued pro-rated course credit for any event days missed during recovery.
This training course is not recommended for those with any kind of mental health issues or major medical problems. We simply do not have the resources to handle these needs.
Please note: The practice of Taoist energy arts may carry risks. The organizers are very concerned to ensure that the training is a positive experience for every participant. If for any reason whatsoever Bruce and/or his assistants deem that there may be any potential safety risks for you during this training, you will be asked to leave the course and suspend training immediately.
If this occurs you will be refunded a prorated course fee. All other expenses that you may have incurred, including lodging and travel will be your sole responsibility and the Energy Arts will not be responsible for these expenses.
