Circling Hands Component of Tai Chi for Beginners Program

When I enrolled in Tai Chi 4 Beginners, Circling Hands had not yet been added. After a week or two, it was. I found that, for me at least (4 + years doing various Energy Arts courses, 73 years old, lotsa athletic injuries), Circling Hands has made me more aware of energy flows and how to move more easily and gracefully. I also believe these exercises are profoundly therapeutic because they teach you how to safely, slowly stretch musclels, ligaments, and tendons, move your shoulders, massage your internal organs, feel you body as an integrated whole, from head to toe and from outside in. Of course, as with all of Bruce Frantzis's teachings, his words are both precise and clear. It pays to listen carefully and repeatedly. It also pays to move slowly from segment to segment as well as to move your body slowly. I think these exercises provide a very solid foundation for learning Tai Chi, and probably for many other Energy Arts practices as well. Thanks for this.

This tai chi training was a tranformational experience, breaking through one's sense of expectations, releasing stagnant areas in the body, mind and spirit.
