Ira Wahrman is a licensed acupuncturist and qigong instructor based in Mamaroneck, NY, specializing in East Asian healing. With a dedicated qigong practice and extensive clinical training in traditional Chinese medicine including acupuncture, tuina massage, moxibustion, cupping therapy, reflexology, dietary therapy, and Chinese herbal medicine. Ira helps students and patients restore balance, improve energy flow, and build healthier structural alignment.
Ira’s journey began with yearly study trips to China from 2005–2009, where he immersed himself in qigong and Chinese medicine. In 2010, he began studying the Energy Arts system, which became the core of his qigong practice. In July 2025, he attended instructor training for the Marriage of Heaven and Earth Qigong.
At his acupuncture clinic in Mamaroneck, NY, Ira teaches weekly group and individual qigong classes. His teaching blends the sensitivity of an experienced clinician with traditional qigong training, helping clients improve their health and deepen relaxation. He is currently welcoming beginner qigong students who want to build a strong, sustainable foundation in internal arts practice.
