    Hi,

The more I practice straight line walking, the more I find that Shi Kwa (sucking in the Kwa) is an esential element to walking. But I have some dificulty maintaining it as the same time as breathing with the belly.
Or to put it another way, when I keep the Kwa sucked in, it becomes difficult to breathe with the belly in a fully relaxed manner. If I ocus on breathing really deeply and in a relaxed way with the belly, I always lose the sucking in of the Kwa.

Since both Shi Kwa and a full relaxed breathing seem both absolutely essential or BaGua, I feel quite stuck.
How do I get out of this problem ?

Erwan, i ran into the same issue. So what i do now is try to breath into the kidneys and lower back primarily, and it seems to help. It also helps me keep everything down into the lower body/legs. Hope this helps.

    Thanks Patrick,

Your suggestion is interesting. I was focusing on the front of the belly, so your idea seems to be a good way out of my problem. I’ll try it out.
