AnonymousGuestI have been practicing Qigong for about four years. More recently, I was introduced to Bruce’s energy arts programs, and they are absolutely superb. What a gift Bruce has given to us all!
I would like to describe an experience that I had while doing my Qigong practice. I had been practicing Qigong for about a year, and already feeling strong movement of my energy during practice.
One evening in a move where you raise your hands up to the sky it felt like all of my energy channels opened everywhere in my body all at once. Associated with this was what seemed to be a massive flow of energy into my body through my hands. The flow was so strong that my whole body started to shake or quiver in reaction to the flow. This was followed by a very strong wave of emotion where it seemed as if I were “seeing” or experiencing all of the suffering in the world. Tears began to flow from my eyes. I had to disconnect, because it was too much to bear.
I am guessing that this experience indicated that my practice had opened up and released strong emotions within me. But, the emotions did not seem to be identifiable to anything specific to me. Rather, it seemed that a door had opened to reveal the suffering all around me. There has been no recurrence of anything like this since. I would like very much to hear your thoughts, comments, and any similar experiences. Thanks.

not to make too big a point of it, but yeah.
seems to me as you do chi gung, particularly the bruce stuff, your awareness opens up, and you become more aware both of your inner world, and the outer world, but from a “universal” perspective.
and you get waves of all kinds of energies, emotional energies, and stuff that seems both very personal and very universal. don’t know how to say it better than that, @ this point. But like a bad acid trip, sometimes it gets too off balance and too uncomfortable.
seems like this is where the whole dissolving practice gets to be real useful.
some times i have been able to “surf it” to a more balanced place, other times not so successful.and anymore, i have to laugh at some of these spiritual types, going on about how great being spiritually connected is.
i mean, yeah, it is, but it’s also very scary and unbalancing.
it’s a lot of work to find that inner balance, so you can stay with that stuff.I’m just glad as I can be that I get a chance to engage in these things with a good toolbox.
thanks, bruce, and Liu, etc….
hope these words are helpful…
