AnonymousGuestGreetings
The month of march has probably been the worst month for practice for me personally since starting this program.
I was only able to get in 1 or 2 meditation and chi gung sets in per week at best. This year of the dragon has proved to bring plenty of big life changes in my personal life.
So my question is where do I proceed from here?
Where I am is the most simple answer I can come up with. However, I left off on the first part of month 10 and as I said practiced 1 or 2 times a week for a month and as it was I feel like my ability to feel emotions was unsuccessful for the most part and i could use a bit more practice with it. I’m wondering if I should give month 10 some more time or move on. Since I’m able to dedicate 1 or 2 hours each day to practice I’d like to begin on the best foot possible.
I’m looking forward to getting more involved in the forums and to the experiences and benefits that this meditation tradition has to offer.

AnonymousGuestHi, Kevin.
Here’s my 2 cents: go ahead and work with month 10 for the equivalent of 4 weeks, then move on. I think a month is a good amount of time to work on these different lessons. There will always be time to review and you lose nothing by spending the time Bruce recommends on each lesson. After a long time of working with Bruce and his programs, I’ve just relaxed and gone with his pacing on things. It always works out.
Good luck! mjn

AnonymousGuestHey, Kevin. I’m glad you are still at it, and able to get back to practicing again. I’m at the beginning of Month 10 as well. I agree with all Matthew said. I do tend to rely on my instincts as far as the exact time to move on at the end of a month. Sometimes I feel a little stagnant in my practice, and feel it would be good to move on to fresh material, sometimes I feel I should give something a little extra time. I’ve found that sometimes, I kind of “fade” out one month and into the next – by starting to incorporate next month’s material, while maybe continuing one thing from the previous month that I feel I could use more work on.
I’ve felt like I’ve been plateauing some lately, too, but I’m used to that as part of my practice. It all adds up, so I keep plugging away. I always find it a little difficult to feel emotions in these practices, especially the subtler, more subconscious ones. I think the practice sharing on the forums helps a lot, so hoping people will continue to post their questions and experiences!
