AnonymousGuest……I’ve been working with the Chapter 7 practice for a good while. I can feel a down flow and an up flow, which seem to be much the same as the flows sensed during qigong. Indeed, I find this practice session far more effective when I stand rather than sit. I suspect that I’m not quite sensitive enough to feel the more subtle ‘influences’ Bruce seems to be alluding to. Any advice welcome.

AnonymousGuestFor me this chapter content is somewhat different from qigong I’ve been doing. When I do qigong I become aware of subtle movements within my body. With this chapter, it was my first attempt to try to feel when something might flow into not my body but rather into the field at some distance from the body. Can’t say I’ve been successful but some glimpses say there could be big potential to it.
What I do feel is that this kind of awareness requires a higher grade/degree of relaxation. The type of relaxation Bruce talked about in one of the previous chapters, relaxation without applying effort to become relaxed. Still working on it.

AnonymousGuest….thanks Igor, I’m working on extending my awareness above and below my body and etheric field and being ‘accepting’, and sometimes get an inkling of something, but this is very subtle ‘behind’ the more obvious stuff flowing within and around my body. Being optimally aligned and relaxed is essential, I just wondered whether anyone could advise on ‘fine tuning’. For example is it worth being aware of whether the ‘monkey mind noise’ changes in any way during this particular practice. E.g. could the external influences from heaven and earth have a subliminal effect on the source of the monkey mind?
