AnonymousGuestSometimes I do one after the other or a few in a row. It all depends on how I’m practicing that day. Right now I’m working on the most recent form I was taught and not doing much Single Palm Change.

AnonymousGuestIn my experience before you mix them, you need to be very clear about what the SPC and DPC are.
For me the single palm change is the heaven palm. You could say It is the ability to move all of your energy in a single minded way. For example, up. The movement includes every single part acting as one. This is symbolized by the trigram as yang lines. They are all the same because they are all doing exactly the same action (whatever that is). Bruce describes this energy movement as light (without weight or inertia), expansive, etc.
The double palm is the interaction of two, two sides, two yang lines, etc. Bruce describes it as binding (I believe it is binding in the sense that these two things are locked in a dance with each other). This could be the two side channels, two yang expansions, the inside and the outside, etc. But there is always two and there is a connection between them. The feeling of condensation doesn’t have to be created by compressing matter into a smaller container. It can be created simply by increasing the number of things that are interacting or binding. The experienced sensation is heavy.
When you understand the double palm change, you should start to have a very deep understanding of manifestation. You should understand how we get stuck and confused internally. Dissolving just reverses the process.
Mixing these two produces the other trigrams. I believe that 1,3,5, and 7 are the primarily yang palm changes and 2,4,6, and 8 are primarily yin palm changes.
The mixing starts after you have some mastery over the physical and etheric bodies. The BMP takes you through the whole process of opening these two bodies. You can’t start mixing the winds of the Wind Palm change until you have access to both.
At the moment the yin line of the trigram represents the condensation that occurs in the central channel (here I mean centerlines of the torso, legs, arms, and head). The yang lines are like cross winds that help make you aware of the central channel. This going in or condensation into the centerline produces awareness beyond the etheric body. The inside is connected to the out. The internal winds are connected to the external winds.
