AnonymousGuestHi
I am fairly new to this so hope you can help. In the weekly practice log it says to practice standing and breathing plus sinking Qi. Do I stand and practice my breathing first for 3 – 20 minutes and then practice sinking my Qi? This may sound like a very basic question but that’s where I’m at right now!
Thank you for any advice you can offer.

AnonymousGuestHi Suzanne,
If you’re new to this material, please understand one simple thing: these 10
lessons are an introduction to the system. There is no expectation that you “master”
them! So you have two options: skim through the 10 lessons as presented over 10
weeks and, at the end, go back and work much, much more slowly through the
programme. This method will give you an idea about what’s in the programme, what’s
coming and how nei gong components are weaved together. If you find this method stressful (indeed it’s a lot of
material to take on in a short timeframe!), simply slow down and take two or
three weeks for each of the 10 lessons. So to answer your question, first stand and breathe for a few minutes to
become comfortable. Then, sink your qi for a few minutes. Eventually the two
will merge into one.Good luck!
