AnonymousGuestIts just been settling in my understanding this week, reverbations so to speak, and integrating/sprouting from having seen the 1st and 2nd OldYang TaiChi lessons where he shows how the Wu and the Old aren’t just different ways of the same, or just different forms with similiarities (as I had the impression previously), nor even just that it is a smaller version of the other— ie a translation.
Rather that the same movements are done in the same way, in the same seq- -just transformed, but the actual movement is the expression. -that kinda “pow” -This may be obvious to others, either previously, or just “not big deal”.. just wanted to share… (espec for ex, the first “move” second-posture- turn to the left- left hand root/an, and right rises-peng and then An(&Ji) condenses around the left of the aura… and how that is actually the same as the Wu style “Bird wings flap… (then both wrap into “holding a ball”) -seeing that made whole-new perspectives shift for me…Then seeing the 2 Peng Postures- and how in Wu, as each little rotation changes, a whole big move in OldYang (which feels thicker to me, without much effort- skin on arms and hands and around my back and heck tingles- just doing these Oldyang movements)…. these I had already understood where related, (Wu just, just?, being a smaller version) and yet in the context of the first- that makes a different sense… and now the Wu moves I feel much-more going-on.. than before (after only having done them a bit- perhaps the groundwork is now “bearing fruit”)..
……….
Anyway- anyone have experience like this? -either agree (or disagree- no big deal?)… or something else in this Training Circle has “pow” (opened your eyes-& Blown your mind).. a re-vealation?…..
I’d been thinking the last few days, and then this evening saw that this is “Guru Poornima” the holiday to commemorate Teachers (not just of “any” subject, but especially those that help us develop/evolve….) -Thus I had to post here (the Taoist tradition overall, and down the lines of lineage.. and most especially through Bruce K F… I have really transformed from) -so thx to that (and thx to anyothers that may feels such for the teachings Bruce shares/conveys)September 13, 2015 at 6:38 am #135271

AnonymousGuestI have been thinking and reflecting on similar concepts. For me it is like the “ah ha” moment when you are putting a 10,000 piece puzzle together and you finally find the piece you were looking for and you can see the picture more clear.
There is a nothing that I can say that can describe my appreciation for the opportunity to be in this group. -
