    hi everyone

I just wanted to post on the site about the great experience I had studying in ibiza this last summer.

in short, being near the ocean, being able to swim in it daily, the warm, humid weather and  the relaxed vibe of the town was a good compliment to the training.

the event center was plenty big and had a series of rooms that made it easier to practice in seperate groups, while still being in one place.  the outside had a great grove of trees that made for a very nice and convenient practice area.

did I mention that you could go get lunch, go swim in the ocean, and still get back in time for afternoon session?   a  little water to go with my water method, lol

surprisingly, santa eularia was NOT a heavy party spot.  it’s really more like a family vacation spot, it was pretty relaxed and mellow, not the heavy party/drug vibe that I had heard about.    if you wanted to party (I did not find the time, but I know some folks did) you would want to go to one of the other towns on the island.   It’s a nice vacation spot, but also quite suited for the training.

special props go out to my roomate olaf, who found some nice places for us to stay, and was a generally great roomate and practice partner.  also many good thanks to the staff who put a real smooth month of classes.  oh, and the senior instructors stepped it up;  teaching, leading, etc, props and thanks!  just good thanks and props in general.  (HIGH FIVE!)

as an american who’s only recently figured out how to finance the cross continent trips to keep up my study with bruce, it was a very pleasant place to go visit, and the classes were awesome.    Im looking forward to going back to ibiza if bruce ends up going back next summer, which he indicated he might.

that’s my take on it, and id like to hear what other’s experienced.

    be well

    Hi Richard,

I also had a great experiance at Ibiza, here are some of my highlights

    • Having the Senior Instructors help do the teaching was awesome! The review over the first two days as they went through the main components of MHE was very helpful. Additionaly, having the seniors do the small daily sessions helped clarify some of our questions.
    • Having so many seniors present to help with teaching and questions was great
    • Personally, I was really happy to see that the seniors got some time every day with Bruce to learn more advanced material. I think it’s really important that the best students in the system continue to grow and get better. I think it helps everyone. So that was really cool to see.
    • The venue had great internet access. Being away from your day job for several weeks at a time is really tough. Being able to easily keep in touch helped me save my energy for studying the material. In Crete I had to travel 30 minutes to a nearby town to get good internet access. It ended up diverting time and energy from my practice and was quite distracting.
    • The practice space was wonderful. Large spacious rooms, so there was plenty of room to practice. The rooms were air-conditioned which was a nice change from Crete. You also had nice places to practice outdoors if you wanted. The floor to ceiling windows let in tons of natural light. I really enjoyed practicing indoors
    • The local atmosphere was quite chill. There were lots of great places to eat. We found some wonderful pizza places and an indian place that was finger licking good.
    • By the time that class let out every evening, the sun would go down and you’d have a really pleasant summer night to walk around town or go swimming. It was a very relaxing atmosphere

All in all it was a wondering experiance, I hope we go back to Ibiza!

    Janak
