“All is the Central Channel” – Clearing Your Essence

In module 12 video 18 at around 15:00 minutes in, Bruce talks about the central channel. This is one of the most clear and insightful points in the whole BMP. It explains what to do after you’ve started to understand the one change of Liu’s overview, step #5.

In a previous post I talked about finding it, but that just the beginning of step #5. The work is to begin clearing it which means getting rid of all the gaps. When you find the balance that I described, it isn’t perfect. Through practice it gets more and more balanced, integrated, and complete. Your Bagua practice inherently helps you find and recognize where you aren’t “open” and aware.

In that section of video Bruce says, “Until any human being gets down to the essence and becomes very clear what the essence inside themselves is. They do no have the basis to jump beyond that. They simply don’t. They can’t. Nobody can. Nobody has been able to do it throughout the world’s history.”

So, it is pretty clear that step #6 in Liu’s overview (learn about the chi of spirit and emptiness so you can eventually understand the chi that enables you to know who you are.), is about finding and clearing the gaps in the central channel. You don’t need to worry about the next step. You just practice what you know no matter how long it takes. Eventually you’ll gain the basis to jump beyond that, but until then you practice. You just work on balancing and clearing the central channel.
