    Hi guys,

    I’m interested in learning Qigong. I’m looking for a practice that can help me release the unconscious blocks that limit my presence and energy in the world. I find that I have minimal connection to my body and my sexual essence. If I’m talking to a woman I can hold really powerful space for her but I unconsciously numb me almost completely.

    I’m wanting to take on a regular practice that can help me dissolve the blocks and connect more to my sexual desire, presence, etc. I started doing something called core awareness that stretches open the hips and even just that one change I noticed women responding a little better.

    Sounds like your attention is focussed outwards on the other, and you don’t really know yourself or how to be in yourself.

    It’s interesting at the end you describe that this opening the hips exercise being a good thing because women respond better … you see once again you are looking outwards, as if the judge of whether your practice is good is whether women respond. But it cannot be this way, you have to be the judge because you know yourself, you feel yourself, you are yourself.

    Do you see, because otherwise you can do a million practices and always still be looking outwards. But who am I? How do I feel myself sexually?

    So, if you have a habit of looking outwards when you are with other people it might be better to do a practice with other people – and to work there, to work on being yourself when you are with another. Biodanza is the best I know for this, especially if you go regularly. There is nothing out there that I have seen remotely close to this.

    I am not so experienced in Energy Arts but BKF has a CD teaching dissolving blockages “The Tao of Letting Go”. And he has a book “Taoist Sexual Meditation” that has a chapter on dissolving sexual hangups.

    But … sitting alone and doing these things might not bring you what you want and a group practice could be much better.

    In fact the truth is I personally am off to Biodanza tonight and have been dissolving sexual hangups today.

    These 2 things were good but still not enough for me.

    Until I learnt to open my heart and breathe all my pains and emotional problems directly into my heart, and to become my heart, I don’t think anything would really have changed. This was a key “practice” and now things have changed. (1) breathe into the heart to open it, (2) merge into the heart becoming the your feeling body, (3) activate a problem by remembering something painful, reach for the emotional layers, and gently softly breathe them into the heart, feel them fully. All these stages take time.
