    Hi All,

apart from the introductions, this is my first post – although I do read (lurk?) around the forum, usually I do not feel wise or experienced enough to reply to anything… and I much prefer listening to talking!

I am now writing to ask for advice: so I have been training *a bit* in all the content of EA training circle since day one – *a bit* meaning that I’ve tried to practice just about everything that came out every month, without emphasizing any single aspect, and going with the 70% rule (30% sometimes, depending on certain injuries from previous martial arts, hard-style, no-holds-barred rough traditional training…

Now I am beginning to re-develop an eye condition (sort of a bening neoplasia to the tissue around the eyes) that I was operated for a couple of years back… and was wondering if there is, in your opinion, any practice among all we’ve learnt up to this point, that I should really emphasize – focus on, to improve my condition…

Any help or suggestion is welcome!

    Thanks!

    Beppe

Hello Beppe, best wishes… just a short note, as may need more info on what you’re experiencing (and how changes might occur as change based upon fdbk).. but I’d say that is good to notice..
I’d say one thing could be there is tension that was chronically held.. which as you release that a bit, you sense pressure flowing into it… so that may be part of it, in addition to the below..

(a reaction, like leaning on your arm and it “goes to sleep” once take-weight-off-it.. it “wakes-up” and starts to tingle- pins&needles.. that reaction of pins&needles is the body-recovering.. -in this ex- vs it being a further).. either way, it is good to notice..
    ___
Second being- “chi rises” (lifting chest- felt as sort of a sense of excitment, in the nerves.. even if not feeling a rising-excitement “emotionally)… -this can Bug-eye also.. thus- feel the bottom of both of your feet.. feel the tissue of your face (and espec in the soft-eye-sockets.. but all-the-way down face&neck… like water, in a shower, pouring/draining down)
-the eyes, and nose/sinuses even cheeks.. feel soften and let go– and link that, separately to making sure both feet are equally awake.. and that each part of both feet (all areas of the soles) can feel and sense.. ( soften at top, and sensing at bottom- sets up a link)..

doing this, without the Intentional- rising arghhh! coming-from.. is the trick.. note even making a decision, I’m going to turn and reach for a pencil/pen.. or for a glass of water on the table… -that mellow action is usually done with a simliar (even if not as “intense” same quality of.. alert, fight or flight- trigger joly- “action”).. staying on alert,at attention.. feeling that look like an eagle, while moving the fluids (as Marriage H&E.. and OldYang does, some other chigung forms don’t actually get fluids to move).. – thus as get fluilds to move, and yet are jangly, that can rise-heat and dry out top (espec eyes).. setting up a new foundation..

Writing that took a bit, as best to show “non-verbally” in example.. hopefully above makes sense- luck

    Hi Taokua,

Thanks for your reply and the advice. In a way it makes sense to go back to the basics – to dissolving as was taught in the first module… And it also makes sense that is the place whence to begin. I tried it today, going slowly and just doing that – as opposed to my usual mix of practices – and found your intuition correct, there is tension in the eye area. Now, dissolving that bit will require hard work…and patience. But it feels like a very good idea to start from the basics and slowly work in that direction!

    Thanks again,
    Beppe
