My question relates to energy in general but in this case more so to do with Peng.
I have experienced 2 different types of Peng I believe. One is when I press down with An where I get to a point under the ground and my body rebounds up with a full type feeling like the An is coming back in the same manner. I can do this most of the time at a basic level, but he other is much more difficult and I have only managed it once. I was more allowing the ground to suck out my energy and empty down. The result was still an upward rebound with the same effect of lifting slightly, but my legs felt completely empty (never got it higher than my hips). It also automatically adjusted my stance which I have not experienced doing it the other way.
Could you talk a bit about these 2 effects and the qualities of full and empty energy and how they both relate to tai chi? Also, I would consider the 2nd effect a yin type force as results in emptiness, but is something actually considered yin when the state of the body is yin but the force created is up or out? Perhaps you could provide an example in terms of a a punch with full energy in comparison to an empty type of energy.
Thanks for your response.
