AnonymousGuestI always find myself getting ahead of myself…in that my mind seems to move in the direction of the next lesson/week before I even know what it is rather than focus on the week’s lesson I’m working on. I figure, just focus on doing it the right way but I wonder if I’m not hindering progress (cause it is a mildly psychic phenomenon and as such I’m feeling a little outta my depth, and though I’ve taken such things to mean “green light” in the past I’m remaining cautious)

AnonymousGuestHi, Cody.
I think no one has responded because you’re asking for advice beyond what most of us feel comfortable dealing with. I hesitate to advise anyone on things dealing with these deep issues because I’m not a trained and certified instructor. Maybe one of Bruce’s senior instructors might see and respond to this post.
However, I will say one thing. When I did the meditation circle, I committed to following Bruce’s advice about both the content and the time frame of practice. I found the program powerful and it greatly enhanced my meditation practice. I don’t think you can go wrong by being patient and following the instructions as given: on the flip side, I think you CAN go wrong by ignoring his directions.
The other thing I will say is this: Bruce, as well as several other teachers I’ve studied with, have emphasized that it’s important not to get too caught up in phenomenon, but to concentrate on deepening the practice.
These may be things to think about…
That’s just my two cents, for what they’re worth.
Good luck with your practice, and best wishes.

AnonymousGuestThose two cents are worth plenty, thank you kindly…caution is the only speed limit I’m following and I’ve always been one NOT to be concerned with psychic phenomenon, got a little distracted by the “pretty colors”, so to speak…it’s easy for something so natural to become a big deal and to see that as results rather than the more lasting result of stillness, etc….live and learn, everything furthers
