Since the beginning of any practice (Tai Chi, Chi Gung, sitting or standing meditation, ect) I’ve noticed the involuntary, upward expulsion of air from the stomach when intent is most deliberate on proper breathing (Energy Gates, ect). Oddly, this ‘condition’ doesn’t persist throughout the rest of a day outside of practice. I further notice that BKF, in almost every video or seminar, also does this (although it’s very subtle) prompting three questions:

    1. Why does this happen?

    2. The fact that I don’t experience this outside of practice, is this to say I’m not yet subconsciously breathing properly all the time?

    3. Is this similar to the excess saliva production that likewise seems to happen during practice?
