    Month 8

Part 1 (Side Breathing into left side to Activate your spleen)

    1. Days 1-3 Review everything up to this month.
    2. Spleen Energy—breathing to enhance your ability to get the “Wind at your Back”, the “Meditation Wind at your Back”.
    3. Spleen energy integrates all your meditation experiences so the value of experience is preserved.
    4. The integrating function of the spleen makes it easier to be in your body and not just in your head.
    5. It helps you become more centered.
    6. Spleen breathing—tap the spleen to activate your nerves, and become aware of tight spots. Place an object on belly and transfer this feeling to the spleen.
    7. Liver/Spleen activation simultaneously
    8. Midriff as the fulcrum—bend left and breath into spleen—bend right and breath into liver.

Parts 2 &3 (Both sides together)

    1. Breath in 3 cycles of 10 breaths, then take a short break
    2. Stabilize breath—increase the strength and smoothness of your awareness of being present
    3. Finding internal “Balance”—balance length of inhales and exhales
    4. Your Breath and Your Mind move somewhat like waves. Get your breath deeper and more relaxed
    5. Days 4-8 Settle in and allow Subtle comfort to move into your mind
    6. Side Breathing Balancing Acts (4) activate right midriff, left midriff, liver, spleen

Part 4 (Day 9 to the end)
    1. Balance breathing with Sides—Right side first then left side

    Part 5 (Standing Meditation)

I’m finding it easier to breath into the spleen than into the liver. Spleen seems lighter and more open, not as dense as the liver. Is this just an hallucination? Maybe my liver is still blocked and I have more work to do there. It just seems harder for me to penetrate the liver with the breath.

The spleen definitely lighter than the liver, but its smaller and feels more localized. The liver feels big and heavy to me. The tapping that we did for the liver and spleen really helped me to feel both these organs.

Thanks for the affirmation. That’s exactly how I’m perceiving it.

Hi All, I’m not sure how many people are working on Month 8 Parts 4 and 5. I’ve found the practice both fascinating and challenging. Breathing sequentially from the crown successively down the sides of the body to the soles of the feet is a bit of a challenge, especially if one tries to follow as ‘guided’ practice and continue with counting! I feel that my ability to stay present is slowly improving (not least because my mind has no choice with the concentration required!) as is physical sensitivity, especially in and around the liver, spleen and pancreas. I’m looking forward to Month 9.

Yes, this is interesting stuff. I find it hard to count while listening to Bruce. I usually meditate for a while after the audio is over and find that it’s easier to do. I’m trying to get the same intense feeling of balance I got from part 3. I’m also looking forward to the next installment.

Joan, thank you for the breakdown, but Im a bit confused on how this is broken down into the full month.

Could someone clarify how many days we are to spend on each Part in Month 8?

    Thanks!

I believe he wants us to spend about one half of the month dividing the parts and the rest of the month balancing everything we have learned. I agree that this month is a bit confusing but Bruce seems to let most things up to us to discover and move on when we are ready.
