AnonymousGuestGreetings,
Are there any practices that are recommended for starting and finishing a meditation session?
I am familiar with the Dragons breath, Rubbing the palms together vigorously and moving the palms down the head neck, shoulders and torso. There is also the 6 healing sounds.
Does anyone practice these as part of their meditation?
Im curious to hearing about the experiences that people have with these practices or others that I may not be aware of.
Thanks,
Kevin

AnonymousGuestI know there are other-system/contexts.. and I have seen what you reference, but I dont (now) see that DrsBreath would begin (or end) a practice, rather if there is a contact with something that needed to express in a certain way (thus in the middle of practice- part of a shifting/let-go.. if that was needed)…
Likewise the rubbing/slapping/hitting- toning (as means to wake-up and distribute nerve-charge.. as well as get “grounded” .. as I’ve come to learn how to feel more During, there is less to re-weave, as other system-teachers practices can actually make one feel ‘less grounded” and less-present-physicaly during the practice).
-the Before and After, I find to come to the transition.. and its smoothness (or not).In other words, rather than doing what I’m doing and time to practice (in whatever form).. then practice and now which jolts at the end… rather the flowing from life-prior smoothly into practice.. and as practice finishes.. to link that up (first inside- the gains you gathered during practice to ‘digest and solidify’ vs What-did-I-do? not conscious thought, just the continuity.. the “golden-thread’).. and then smoothly shift from “in practice” to standing up, and then to going on to what’s next..
(ie that golden-thread not broken “in” the practice, nor from the end of, into life.. and hopefully have the thread- continue throughout your day… perhaps even still have a sense of this thread, next day? next practice?)
