AnonymousGuestwhat organ gigong form is helpful for the liver?
November 14, 2012 at 7:17 am #132803
AnonymousGuestHello Daniel- I hope I interpret your question as you intended it, “helpful” for the liver is a bit different than “works the liver” … many of the qi gung forms of the Liver, Work it- which can lead to “supercharging the Liver-processes (not just the organ, but the related tendencies, etc.)…. as opposed to another system (say spleen-Earth (tu) doen’t directly work the liver (but indirectly, as well as supporting it) thus may result in the rebalancing that might be needed
(thus the ChiGung TuiNa diagnosis and assignment of… etc. and how a Practice with Fdbk per observation of its affect (and/or a “master” can foresee the affect- thus takes that in to account when assigning..
The Shorter- answer.. of the Energy Arts forms- the “marriage of Heaven and Earth NeiGung Set (works the liver directly (although as advance- each fo the sets involve more of the system.. for ex Gods Playing in the Clouds is at base Spleen-Earth(tu), and yet develops so that each of the 6 movements works one of the five elements..etc..
and/or a Directly Beng Chuan in HsingI… see the Bruce Video on YouTube where he demos Beng Chuan (all the Hsing I videos actually add something )- on the “energyartsvideos” channel
_______
So that may be the shorter answer sought- I started with the longer answer as depends (to use an TCM terminology as in Acupunture or TuiNa) whether there is an excess (in say Liver) or a deficiency… or a blockage… (and of those 3: whether for ex the Excess is from a gathering/surging or from a blockage in the “next pt in the flow” – thus like a pool behind a dam on a river… and a “deficiency” behind or “beyond” the dam on a river (vs a deficiency being from a redirection- being “pulled to”/surging elsewhere (a drain, vs a pooling)so for instance if liver is “backed up- clogged/stagnant” and you work it out and “charge it up- add fuel.. a different result than if it is drained/cold… and if it is “Exhausted” and/or reved up and shaky/jumpy- different too or more simply: if Liver is causing you to “snap at and “bite peoples heads off”… not work and feed it… vs if Liver functions and tendencies are dormant..
I hope that helps and might be a complete whole, and yet concise enough to be useful- good practices to you

AnonymousGuestthank you gary,
to be more direct, i am looking for what bruce frantzis specifically used when he mentions he overcame a liver problem with the help of his practice of internal energies. did he practice a particular set, or sets regarding this problem and if so, which one or ones?
sounds like it may be a more complicated question than i anticipated and i thank you for your input
cheers

AnonymousGuestHello there- most welcome, I find this kind of subject quite interesting (tricky as each loose strand unravels so many more- I make an effort to not answer in a way that could be a half-answer- my tendency further enhanced by Bruce’s trainings..
I appreciate the clarification- when you mention the liver problem, you might be referring to something else- but might you mean specifically the Hepatitus C (the parasite infestation in India)- which is mentioned in _Opening the Energy Gates of your body_ book (if you just heard him mention it in the recent videos online.. you might check out that section in his book, if you have it avail)
I believe (I’m not sure about this) largely what he used was the outward Tai Chi form to work directly on the Energy Channels throughout the body (like a hydraulic tube, or water hose, that is crimped close and pulling the tube on each side open section by section…
There is a Dragon and Tiger related move that he’s mentioned in this regard if you are looking for an application to a related issue (he’d proscribed to one about to have heart surgery) which is in essence stir and get moving the stagnant energies inside grab/pull and toss (like grabbing papers stuffed deep into a pocket and tossing them to the side of the room) and then from outreach grab/pull new energy and bring in (like grabbing a “fresh” paper from table at far reach of your arm and bringing gently to stuff into that same pocket) .. repeat
(single first, and to get tricky both sides at once, either both doing the same, or each side alternating: which can be seen in in the first, second and fourth Dragon & Tiger movements (if you are familiar with that set).
But in terms of what used- once any of the 16 neigung components are accessed via a set- they can be worked directly (like how he shows Marriage of Heaven and Earth as a doorway set to learn pulsing the Egates… then later Egate pulsing can be done directly.. as well as “fold into” sets like Opening the Energy Gates and Spiralling EBody (Bagua, TaiChi, GPlaying, etc are great “vessels’ to link in many layers, as he’s referred in the past to a “winebottle” that is good to hold fancier vintages (ie the “set”/bottle, and wine inside the chi work used)… then later the metaphor of a “wallet” which can be empty or hold more cash and/or credit cards inside…. and now in videos he has been using the “case” of a computer or SmartPhone vs Software (OS and Apps) running upon/inside it….. all 3 of those related metaphors
…………………..
I hope that added something to what you were seeking- just my two cents- since I find this subject of great interest, might i ask if you were looking for a specific application this concept to something? (Or seeking primarily to get more context mainly to understand that point you heard him mention?Do you recall where you heard/read him mention it? (might you have read that section in _Opening the Energy gates_ book?) I only ask the above as it might help unveil more of the topic (and perhaps reveal more of what threads this questioning might expand into- never know what a new perspective on this info could show).
good day

AnonymousGuestthanks again gary,
yes, read it in, “opening the gates”
and
got an email from someone in the energy arts organization saying due to legal issues i am not suppose to ask about this, however, yes, hep c
thanks, you have been most helpful as a guide helping me sort though the mass of materials available regarding internal energy forms and which might be best suited for particular condition
cheers

AnonymousGuestAh- makes sense- glad I could help (at times I wonder if I add more confusion than clarity
best of luck to you
in terms of legal issues- ah, there is that (my postings are at times when I’m tired- so I didn’t stop to think on that aspect- to EArts staff, I hope these comments didn’t cross something….. but my thought process of my answer-comments isn’t so much a direct response, but to lead to expanded context
ps I kept menioned Opening E gates, as I’ve found so much just in the context shift (from the of course it has to be… to – I see how that doesn’t make sense, of course- ie no pain no gain.. etc in the mess yourself up with ChiGung section)- much in the mindset embeded in that one.
[might try seeing if you could guess an application of each of 16 neigung components and/or each of the sets you’ve heard of- just for the association-perception, not diagnos… I only used that word: as ChiGungTuiNa Doctors do that, but they are trained for that.]cheers d
