AnonymousGuestHi all,
I have two questions, one about details, the other about people’s experiences. (Hit ‘back’ now if mention of bodily functions isn’t to your taste!)
First, in the month 2 video Standing_02-08_1 (Standing QIgong Session 8: Intermediate – Shoulder Blades, Sinking Qi and Points Along the Arms), Bruce lists a number of points along the arms where qi should be felt flowing. Does anyone know the names of these points in acupuncture terms? (eg he mentions Lung 1 earlier in connection with the shoulders).
Secondly, I’ve always found that when I practice zhan zhuang / standing qigong I get very thirsty, and drink lots of water – and yet my urine afterwards is often very strong in colour. It seems that standing encourages the body to clear out toxins. Does anyone else have this experience? Is there any explanation for it in terms of qigong?
Many thanks!
Cheers,
Emlyn

AnonymousGuestHowdy!! The question about the energy points on the arm(elbow) there is a chapter in the Energy Gates book on those and explains them in detail. The dark colored urine is a detox symptem, just like when you fast, you release built up toxins from your body, with releasing or dissolving energy blocks you are doing the same thing, you may have had an energy block in the kidneys that would account for the dark urine, I get that too but then I have a couple of beers at night to detox out everyday.

AnonymousGuestThanks, John – I have copy of that book back in the UK, I’ll dig it out when I’m back next. As for the urine, yes, that’s kind of what I’d thought. I’ll just have to keep standing, and let my body work through the blockages!
