Hello. I have had a stammer since I was 5 years old (I am now 23). I am looking into studying baguazhang or taijiquan, and one of the factors to help me decide which one to focus on is which one would help me get over my stutter more. Does anyone have any suggestions or experience to help me choose? I am not familiar with baguazhang so I cannot make an adequate guess. I feel taijiquan would help me learn to relax and remain calm during my stammer, but I feel baguazhang may help me flow over my stammer cleanly as well. I am at a loss. Thanks in advance for your help!
asak,
both work for relaxation. But you may want to consider core qiqong practices first, as they are easier to learn and practice meditation/sikr as well.
Tai Chi and Bagua each of them requires lots of time to learn and both benefit from the foundations laid out in qiqong practice.
All the best,
Michael
