For the sake of speculation and theoretical-shoptalk, is it possible to have blockages within the Body of the Tao like blockages in the Emotional Body, Physical Body, or Psychic Body, etc.?
I do not know, as the view on this as Bruce teaches it is new to me. But, from my training in the western spiritual tradition, and my prior shamanic work I can (very carefully and with a grain of salt) extrapolate the view: Why not?
During a life there are tasks and developments to be made on all levels of your being that are relevant to your current incarnation. So, something to dicover and learn everywhere.

In this vein, I think the transmutation process of internal alchemy for the 7th body is continued in the body of the Tao. Dissolving is important but I think at this level the transmutation process becomes necessity.
