    Hi,
I have practiced chi gung in both ways of breathing. In /out the nostrils and in nostrils/out of the mouth. I would like to know if anyone knows why different schools have the different ways of breathing and what is the difference in energy flow between the two.
    Thanks,
    Dave Moore

    Hi dave ,
I had the same experience,…but this method of breathing out and in is smoother for me. I was in track and fielt when i was younger and master, a 400m runner/800m runner. When i saw a great 400m runner Evans from USA in 1980’s , who could run 43.8 ” i was amased that he seemed to breath true his nose.
I have tried now that new method and together with the visualisation on the differend stages, nostrils, troat, lungs and belly i hope that i can learn to visualisize better. I hope to combine this with my free style Tai-chi :) a technique that i learned 30 years ago, but forget the basics, but i love the movements. and you feel when you are out of your center. Just a new beginner. saterday we go to the seaside, the beach is my favourit place.
