I am using as reference Paul Cavel’s video on Heaven and Earth. I can conceptualize, based on my practice of Energy Gates and Dragon and Tiger, what the breathing pattern might be. But I do believe there may be something different to the breathing pattern in Heaven and Earth. I would go to an instructor, but right now they are out of reach. Any guidance would be appreciated.

As I recall, if you have enough ” puff ” or breathing capacity the pattern is inhale while the hands raise up and around to the occiput and exhale as the hands lower. Then inhale as the arms bend and exhale as they straighten. Repeat.
If your capacity is less than capable of that pattern, I was shown to inhale until you run out of breathing room, slow the movement down and exhale, resume movement with inhalation until you finish the movement. Same pattern used on the downward movement with the inhale and exhales switched.
I think this is covered in the archival DVD on the Marriage of Heaven and Earth. I hope this helps.

Hi Ken. We’ve taken all our archive DVDs off the website store, but we do have a Marriage of Heaven and Earth DVD available. Please call the Energy Arts office at (415) 454.5243 to place an order for this and other archival materials not available online. Thanks!

I have viewed the video. Does the stretching throughout the body naturally follow the stretching of the hands as they are raised and lowered (as compared to consciously trying to stretch each joint)?
