O observe that my calves hurt after tiger walks. Feels like strength or like they get hard. Am I doing something wrong?
After a little practice I figured out that my calves were hurting because I raised my heels too high and was tensing my legs. Its tempting to repeat after Mr. Ryan as he does the tiger walks with high amplitude and flexibility, but it’s good to see where you feel tension and back to 70% of that. After backing up my calves feel much easier and I relax more.
Hi Paul,
Thanks for answering your own question. There’s no teacher like your own experience and exploration, right? And when in doubt, the 70 percent principle is always the most important.
Bruce often quotes a saying he heard many times in China, which goes something like: The teacher takes you to the gate, you must walk through it.
Enjoy,
Bill
