    Hi.

First of all, I have to say that the last months I have been quite busy with my own work and extensive trainings and meditation sessions. I had no or little time to get updated to Bruce’s lessons. I hope to be able to catch up soon. That said, I apologize if the following questions has been already explained in some previous montly lesson.

The last years, thanks to chi kung, tai chi and extensive sessions of inner dissolving I have been gaining a lot of unexpected awareness of my chi meridian system and the blockages that are still inside them, blockages that are little by little just dissolving. I also experienced their polarity; how they tends to dissolve in one direction better than the other. This is being a great experience.

In my martial arts practice I also started to gain awareness of how my meridians channel physicals forces, pressures and movements to and from the earth. If you release/relaxe them in the proper order, mainly in the feet and legs, smooth, fast and coordinate movements appears naturally. From some time ago I am also experiencing with the meridian system in the body of my partners sparring in karate ju kumite or doing tui sho and is starting to work nicely.

In the last months a new component appeared in my practice: I am starting to feel bones and how they transmit forces among them. Is still like seeing some blurry image; you know that there is something and that it has some certain qualities but is not well defined yet.

Exploring and observing I noticed that the right and left channels (callicum over the bone) has some yin and yang property in them ressembling the yin (upward) and yang (downward) relationship between meridians pair. In clearer words, I have the feeling that forces tend to descend to the ground through the callicum that faces to the yang surfaces of the body and algo forces that ascend from the ground do it through the callicum that faces to the yin surfaces of the body. Some diagrams in the Bruce’ book Dragon and Tiger seems to suggests just that idea

About the central channel, the only thing I notice in that blurry image of now is that seems related to central equilibrium and how all the body weight flows to the ground intenturrepted and how gather the earth reaction in some kind of bidirecctional and structural working.

I would be quite happy if bruce or some senior instructor could enlightment me about this. Until then, I will go on practicing. This is quite important for me.

    Thanks!

Hi. I guess I got the point wrong or I did not expressed myself clearly. In any case, those feelings inside my body or the partner body are still a part of my current daily training.

I would thank inmensely anybody who gave me any orientation.

    Warm regards.

Hello there Andres, best wishes, and neat you are discovering things recently in your practice. -I wonder, in terms of others responding.. if it is the issue of the question you are asking..

I believe I understand what you are referencing that you experienced/discovered (a couple of things) , but I don’t see a question- unless you are saying:
XYZ, does anyone have experience with this? or- can someone tell me more to look for in this? (which of what you mention, each? -how to “understand” ~model-explanation, vs ‘how-to’ practice to develop this further? -not the same)..
or what does this experience relate to, in terms of the training? (or perhaps something else, as I get the sense what you are writing about is a bit different than that). Anyway- hopefully someone might respond. (Not sure if all the writing is being directed to the FB page, I don’t know how/if that is active, this one is/was at times, but not oft-daily).

anyways luck in your practice and seeking..

    ………
one angle, as I’ve written in other-posts comments on this forum, may seem unrelated to your issue, but the same pts
    – look-see and try and get beyond interpretation-thoughts and let it reveal itself.. feeling, sinking into the arising experience, and yet questioning (so easy for mind to go-ah, I know what this is, and closes the mind, keep the door open, maybe this, maybe something else, maybe it won’t be clear for a while.. which can be stressful to the mind, it wants to “get-it” vs to see-exxper what is occuring ‘this moment’ .. then this–one. etc.

[ I hope this might relate, which as I started the post, I wasn’t clear on what you were thinking-coming-from-asking.. just my viewpt-disconnect. ]

what do you find? let us know :) cheers

Thanks a lot for your response, Taokua. I know that this may not be an usual question and consequently a hard to help one.

Maybe I should have been clearer but it is a fact that I am still feeling and from I and trying to form a clearer picture. As you say, it is not about to form mental image but a try to have a clearer experience/feeling and about how to traslate it to practical results, words and a clear image.

    About chi meridians:
    – That was only about sitting a foundation for the question. Last years have been a time of realizing about a lot of issues with them. Spontaneusly in my meditation work I started to feel different feelings through my body that with the time I can only describe as meridians dissolving and relaxing. Feelings of shaking, tingle, warm, healing paing and pleasure going through them. It was completely unexpected. With time, inner dissolving work has open more and more sections of them provinding improves in physical health, elasticity and mind calm. This still an ongoing process far from ending. These are what i mean with “practical results” in my diary life.
    – In the martial aspect, meridian feeling is becoming a way to feel my own body and detect when a part of my body is relaxed and coordinated and when not. Also, in TuiSho practice and sparring I have developed with the help of one of my masters some basic principles to use the other guy body meridians just through touching his skin/fascia and knowing meridians polarity (yin/yang) to manipulate them in different ways. These are what i mean with “practical results” in my martial arts practice.
    – When I talk about polarity I mean as follows. A meridian having a yin or yang quality defines what is the direction preferred for energy to travel through that meridian. That has one implication for me in meditation: I observe how the feelings associated with the dissolving spontaneously tend to go upward or downward in the body depending of meridian polarity. In martial arts, meridian polarity for me defines different effects dependind if you touch or manipulate in the direction of the meridian or opposing to it (there are at least other two more principles for me); effects that are quite practical and fast with use of minimun force.

That said, the news that motivated this post were that in my work I am starting to feel far below meridians and muscles. I mean feels about bones and joints forms. That kind of feeling is extending to how forces and pressures (weight and sinking pressures for example) travels through bones and joints both in movementent and standing. I stinctly know that those feelings are still in its beginnings.

That leaded me to pay attention one more time to Bruce’s diagrams about central, left and right channels. You know, the ones with a human skeleton depicting those channels paths. Also reviewed Bruce’s book about Dragon and Tiger QiGong. And questions rised naturally. I expect to to be clearer this time:

So the one and only question is: Are there some polarity related to right, left and central channel? Looking at Bruce’ Dragon and Tiger energy pathways diagrams seem to suggets just that idea. The farthest I have go in my feeling experience is to form the following blurry image:
    – Right and Left channels in limbs: Outside/Yang surfaces of the bones has a yang polarity going downward to the earth. Inside/Yin surfaces of the bones has a yin polarity going upward from the earth.
    – Right and Left channels in torso: has both polarities, energy goes upward or downward depending of the situation/body position.
    – Central channel: has both polarities, energy goes upward or downward depending of the situation.

I don´t know if this is correct or no.

Thanks a lot, one more time.

    Kind and warm regards :)
