    Hi everyone,
    I’ve been struggling with a health issue that I thought was some kind of infection, took some antibiotics which seem to have made me worse and done several tests to have the doctor say “the tests are ok”.

    I’ve been having a tightness in my chest (since taking the antibiotic) which has improved, but at night my heartbeat seems to be beating harder in my chest, especially if I lay on it. I’ve realized some is due to anxiety due to some truama flaring up, and i’ve booked sessions to deal with that in brainspotting.

    And also a weird pressure in my groin, barely any energy. At one stage I was really weak, went down the street for like 15 minutes and got home and was fatigued. Though I had a second round of antibiotics (I changed doctor after that realizing he wasn’t helping) and was having bad reactions, the new doctor said to stop taking them.

    Since then i’ve had some days i’ve felt a bit more ‘normal’ but not as before, and other days it’s flaring up. Realized one connection in that after I ejaculate some things flare up. Had sex a few weeks ago a few times and that night had chills, was shaking, couldn’t keep warm. A few weeks later not sex but other things and similar. Last night I figured out that connection.

    I started Flying Pheonix Chi Kung, and it seems to be helping a bit so far in that sometimes I feel a bit better after it. But i’m wondering what your experiences are with Dragon and Tiger for healing. I don’t care about developing martial power or anything else, just for healing myself. I had some more blood tests today for the doctor, and plan to see a acupuncturist/chinese medicine practictioner.

    But I want to help my healing as much as I can. I’ve done Flying Pheonix about 2 weeks, one thing i’ve thought is that it’s a massive long term thing. People have said they spend 2 hours on it, and it’s even recommended for beginners to do like 45 minutes a day. I do about 15-20 and struggle with that. And it takes a few years to actually get through the dvds. And i’m having some things come up that i’m unsure about during the practice.

    So i’m wondering if Dragon and Tiger could be more accessible and still give me healing. So i’d love to hear experiences, or even comparision to Flying Pheonix if anyone has done both.

    hiya Ben, good-luck that you found this place (and that you had some sort of results with what you did before)…. unfortunate that you had the difficulty/draining-discomfort that you did (though many do, and just get stuck there..)

    I recall learning (a bit) something that I “think” was Flying Pheonix chikung (not sure if it was- many yrs back) I had it on VHS tapes, and even in that fast-fwd speed (where you could still see the video: not sure if that is 2x or more or less).. but even at that sped-up ver the guy was moving so slow, getting the gist of the shape-pattern (to be able to remember it).. there was a standing, and a sitting part (which was seated, but still turned this way and that- reached and turned)…

    I tried that (among many others) and learned it to a degree, but I didn’t get some-bang from it (something noticable)… compared to some other things I’d learned.. and either Dr&T, or “Opening the Energy Gates” of your body, should be easy to get ahold of- little bites and be able to feel something from and start developing (from the first practice).. Dr&T is perhaps the most accessible, just follow the instructions (vs not getting it right) but still the feeling of it is a bit unusual (not moving the way we would think to move).

    Your personality- what kind of movements, and style of an art (how the “thing” feels ~the “kind of person I am” .. help if they match up.. as finding something that not only works- but works for you.. as you work-it.. ie you can sustain an ongoing practice.. a little bit per day, week, after week.. is better than a clump on a day, and then skip a while.. and then maybe later…

    as doing the moves will morph and evolve as they reveal to you things (if you practice then, espec with a sense of curiousity)… anyway- I’d recommend learning about Dr&T (as well as get/read the bk Opening the Egates, if you can– the last section with “warnings” which is more- “a perspective that may not have occured to you”) On the EArts YT channel (youtube/com/user/Energyartsvideo/videos)

    there are videos of both- along with a “third option” Circling Hands
    -which you can find about as well
    ==================
    If you want free info, while it is here, I’d recommend scanning through this forums “back-posts” many reveal health in partic, but also just practice pts.. would take a while to go through and read them all, but is avail – so up to you…

    After checking into that (even in the tab at the top of this site- webpages- there is a video demoing- these three sets on this site.. try and follow- just to see which pulls you.. how would you compare them to Flying Ph?)

    [meeting up with someone that has been practicing the system for quite a while could result in a few quick comment/pointers that make a huge difference… thus did you check the certified instructors local, or even a journey to visit a class of?
    https://www.energyarts.com/energy-arts-instructor-community

    ==================
    after you tried a bit, researched what is on this site, and on the Eart YouTube vids (there is a lot there)..
    and perhaps read ‘all’ the relevant forum back-posts…. or even just jumping in to learning one of the three mentioned sets, like Dr&T..

    post again and share you expers what you are finding, what works. etc… (with specifics and a grounding in, practice with & learning of should answer many questions, or else give a basis for better responses to you).. cheers
