I noticed that Energy Arts had automatically continued my Meditation Circle for the monthly rate. How can I have the same 16 month rate that I have previously enjoyed?

I’m not quite clear about whether the monthly lessons will continue.
I haven’t listened to month 16 yet though, is anything stated there about ongoing lessons? I hope there will be continuing lessons! This teaching/learning format has really been effective.

I noticed that recurring $8 charge as well. I understand it is not negotiable: either $8 per month or cancel. I’m not so much concerned with the price – I think it is reasonable – I’m wondering what content is going to be like. THere was a framework for 16 months: to establish basis for the meditation practice; and Bruce specifically stated he wasn’t going to teach dissolving during this 16 months set. It would be nice to hear from the Arts how it is planned for the future (if any).

I just was able to talk to someone from Energy Arts. They will continue to charge us $8 a month as they are considering a multiple month subscription. They will then refund the money from the months of $8 fees and put it toward the subscription rate if they offer it.

I suggested that Bruce consider eliminating the “Guided” Sessions and work on shortening the audio sessions with a more organized approach.

The man on the phone was very receptive to that idea.

Did you feel/understand there is going to be new content from Bruce?

Actually my hope was that after the England retreat Bruce might be willing to upload some of the material here in a monthly subscription format. I wish I was able to take three weeks of vacation in a row to attend his retreats…

I assume that everyone here has recieved the e-mail from EA, that the next series will be on the Tao Te Ching. I’m actually pretty excited about this, and have to admit it has crossed my mind on more than one occassion that it would be nice to hear an indepth approach to this text from Bruce.

I’ve been stalled a little on the meditation series, due to some pain that is in a very inconvenient spot – right around my diaphragm, and in my left side. Since the month I’m currently working on is all about side breathing…not so good for the practicing. But I am very excited about signing up for this next series in June!!

Could someone forward the energy arts email to me or display it ina post? There was a brief problem with my membership and I was out of the circle for a few days. Back in a few hours ago.

    Thanks.

    Here you go:

    – Message from Bruce – New Series Announcement:
Thanks for being part of the Taoist Meditation Circle series. These practices have been an important step in our current online meditation program as they help people form a solid foundation for Taoist Meditation. Now we will continue with a new monthly series called Tao Te Ching: A Practitioners Guide.

Each month we will go through one or more chapters of the Tao Te Ching, the text that is the philosophical and religious underpinning for Taoism. The Tao Te Ching was transmitted by Lao Tse in approximately 600 B.C. and contains 81 chapters in total.

Beginning on July 1st, and then continuing in subsequent monthly installments (~30-60 minutes of audio each). We will focus our talks on how to use the Tao Te Ching as a practical guide for living in the modern world, interpreting the original phrases and applying them to the present.

This is a large and exciting undertaking and I look forward to sharing Tao Te Ching: A Practitioners Guide with you.

    Stay Good,
    Bruce Frantzis

I’m a bit disappointed. I was hoping that Bruce would continue teaching meditation practice. I’ll probably try a couple of months and see how it goes.

I haven’t signed on got the Tao te ching program yet but Definetly plan on it. I guess this has the potential of spanning a few years since Bruce said he would be focusing on one or more verses per month. I’m also wondering whos translation we will be working off of; or whether Bruce will be doing a new translation…either way I’m really looking forward to this program.

Interesting. I’m still working my way through the material in the TMC as had to take a break for a bit. However the Tao Te Ching stuff sounds fascinating.

I wonder if they will send some sort of link to transfer our recurring membership psyments to the new programme or whether we will have to sign up from scratch.

I have the suspicion there will actually be meditation and practical applications woven into this…but that’s a guess.

I think in depth study of the Tao te Ching would be marvelous. We just hang on until July 1 and watch this forum and email?

Well my question has been answered. Just got this email from EA

This email is response to group member queries about the upcoming Tao Te
    Ching program.

The Tao Te Ching program is a continuation of the online meditation series.
If you have an active subscription no action is necessary. You will be
automatically enrolled in the Tao Te Ching group, charged at the same monthly
rate and will receive the first installment on July 1, and then in subsequent
    monthly installments.

We look forward to sharing this special new Tao Te Ching program with you.

    Kind regards,
    Energy Arts Team

I would think that their would be meditation instruction in the Tao Te Ching Meditation Circle. Whenever Bruce talks about the Tao Te Ching he says that many of the phrases can be considered philosophical sound bites: one line explanations that are simplified versions of complete and complicated practices in Taoism. For example the phrase ” the wise man breathes with his heels” refers to the whole Taoist nei gung breathing and energy channel practices.
