I seem to recall reading in one of the books a cautionary note about dissolving into the etheric body, and then dissolving beyond the etheric body.

I’ve been flipping through the books I have trying to find the exact quote, but I can’t find it.

What is the deal with dissolving to, into, and beyond the etheric body? Are there any potentially harmful or destabilizing side effects?

In outer dissolving, when I am going from the water to gas phase, I usually dissolve it out until I can’t feel it anymore. Sometimes this means dissolving just a little bit away from me, but lately I feel like I can feel “stuff” floating around further and further out, which I am able to dissolve.

I’m wondering if I am going to run into any problems with this, and if I should just stop once I reach a certain, set distance.

I can’t remember reading anything like that. The only similar point I remember is that beginners shouldn’t go too far into the brain without the guidance of a master.

What I do remember though, is that the etheric body extends out a certain distance depending on how strong your chi is. So perhaps it just means that your energy is opening up more, or that it always has been and you’re just realising it. Try chapter 7, lesson 3 in the energy gates book.

    Hey Cameron, thanks for responding!

I do recall the thing about the brain.

Honestly, I have no idea where I picked up this thing about the etheric body. Maybe it was from a different source? (I read a lot…) so maybe I’ve got some wires crossed. I could have sworn it was some off hand sentence in one of the chapters that said “don’t go too far away from your body” or something like that :( Something about it getting into different areas? Maybe it wasn’t even from energy gates.

    Arg :P

    Dear Roland

May be you mean “ru ding”, the fear of the death of the ego.
to be found in Ch.8 in the book: “Relaxing into your Being” by Bruce Frantzis (P 170 ff) as well as iin the sections of shock (Ch. 5) in “The Great Stillness”, also by Bruce Fratzis.
