Higher Bodies

I’m interested in what other meditation circle participants think about the higher bodies. There is a mountain of scientific evidence for the benefits of meditation. There isn’t any scientific evidence that I know of, unless you count theosophical science, for the existence of higher bodies. Individual experience can say otherwise and I have an open mind, maybe too open. While I believe in the esoteric and etheric bodies, I really have nothing to base this on but subjective experience. If the the higher bodies don’t exist, then what are the experiences of them?

I think the problem is that there aren’t enough people to do a study on. People will only accept something as scientific fact if the results can be replicated by many people.

In my mind it all comes down to definitions. Nobody thinks chi is real because of TV and movies. Once you know what it is it isn’t really such a big deal. The term “Etheric Body” sounds all mystical too, but that is just because I can’t really explain what it is exactly. “Phychic Body” sounds like complete BS but only because of the frauds that take your money in exchange for some positive words. However if you think of psychic energy in terms of interpreting subtle vibrations echoed from past events then it can be somehow perceivable.

I have no reason to believe that any of the energy bodies don’t exist within the bounds of some sort of definition (except the tao which has no definition). My journey is fueled by an immense curiosity of these higher bodies, so just the fact that they are unconfirmed by science makes them all the more interesting to me. Hopefully one day I’ll know what they all are, rather than just think I know what they all are.

That’s a big topic. but I can give you my 2 cents worth…

I can say that the physical body is pretty apparent to me(pinches arm, ouch!)

I can also say that my energy body is pretty apparent, but more subtle. as a chi gung tui na practioner, I use my chi to work on people, and over time it has gotten more and more obvious that I am also able to connect to other’s energy and affect it with my awareness, or with my own energy. this particular body was made very obvious during the Dragon and Tiger instructor training, doing so much energy field work got it so strong and open it was impossible to ignore. that opened the door to my chi gung tui na practice.

I also often experience the emotional body, particularly with my bagua training and CGTN work. and life.
anyone who has had their spouse or family member come into a room in a bad mood has probably noticed it.
it’s connected to the energy body, but not the same…

I also experience the mental body doing CGTN work. harder to articulate, but some folks are really in their heads, and you can almost hear it when their brains rev down and they begin to experience their bodies more directly.

I can’t really articulate my experiences of the higher 4 bodies, but it’s not a question of if they are there to me, it’s a question of getting my own basic foundation stronger so I can be more present to them.

you really hit it on the head when you said that you can only base this on subjective experience. Our existing science is very outer based, so it’s not going to help us much. personal experience is going to be how we get to a real understanding of this stuff. It’s very challenging, were becoming inner astronauts, so to speak…

Briefly. There is a page SOS.org. The science of spirituality. I have studied this path for almost 30 years. It is free. You are taught to open the third eye, and see the inner light. THen You are taught to hear the Celestial sound current. You will hear ten different sounds. The big bell from the right side, and then over head will take you through the upper plains.
Every major religion has a bell and candle. The templ, church, and mosque have different rituals, but the mystic inner work is the same.

Thanks Cameron. That confirms pretty much how I feel. It is kind of hard to find people willing to talk about these experiences in a serious manner and without considering you a prime candidate for psychotherapy.

Do you exist ?
Are you convinced of your own existence because a book tells you so?
Or do you feel yourself intrinsicaly?
And if so why do you demand a different kind of proof for chi or other things?
