I’ve had a delightful sensation several times this week when practicing the standing kidney breathing. I start by gently moving my arms out and in as we did in week 1, then I find I don’t need to move them, they seem to move by themselves. I have a strong and distinct sensation of a balloon inflating and deflating out from the sides of my body, and pushing the arms gently away, and then allowing them to come back in, following the breath. The arms move a distance of at least several inches, and the feeling of effortlessness is quite compelling. It doesn’t happen every time, and it seems elusive–not happening when I try to cause it to happen. I feel my breath filling the belly first, then the sides, then the kidney area, and this expanding ball flotation only occurs in the final, kidney phase, causing the arms to float up and away and then sink back down.

I was wondering if anyone else was having a similar experience?

Timothy, It sounds to me like your breathing is starting
to generate increased circulation of blood, which is good. If you really have
the experience that your breath is starting to move your body and your movement
is effortless, then you’ve had your first contact with internal nei gong
    exercise. Keep going!
