Missed Bagua Mastery program

Hi
I missed out on the bagua mastery program and wondered whether anyone could recommend some alternative material to get started on circle walking and mud walking. I am really only interested in the meditative aspect of bagua. I have Bruce’s second book on taoist meditation so am really looking for dvds or any any good stuff on youtube. I am also looking for teachers as well.

there are some good books out there on bagua, but they are more focused on the fighting aspect.
bruce’s BMP is the only program ive seen where you could reasonably get it, without a teacher to assist.

that said, I had 2 people come to me for additional training after buying the BMP, to make sure they were getting it. It’s very hard to learn something this subtle from a book/video/etc without some other learning, it’s just sophisticated stuff, took me years to get to where I felt like I kinda got it. (still working on it, for sure!)

given that you are focused on the meditation, you might consider hitting up one of the senior instructors for a couple of classes.

im not a senior instructor, but I do practice the meditation aspect of bagua, and im happy to teach to others what I know, if your in the tempe AZ area.

If I was looking for training on the meditation aspect of bagua, I might seek out bill ryan, craig barnes, or perhaps paul cavel, they all have mad skills in that. Other teachers are good as well, these are the ones that stand out to me (been studying w bruce for about 10 yrs now)

down the road, i am pretty sure bruce will offer the BMP again, and you can pick it up then.

I really wish I knew of another dvd set or you tube stuff on bagua meditation.

Id go listen to all of bruces’s you tube stuff, he’s got great stuff on meditation, bagua, etc. it’s a start.

having said that, the great stillness is the mother load, if you are serious about it, work on that stuff, and when you can, go visit bruce for a meditation or bagua seminar or retreat. If I was in your situation, that’s what id do.

Hi LR,

Like you I missed out on the Bagua Mastery Program Launch as well. I was recommended by Jess O’Brien and Dan Kleiman to begin by learning the basics of circle walking and stepping from The Great Stillness and Ive found this has been working well.

I’ll likely stick focus on this with whatever time I can dedicate to bagua until hopefully there is a relaunch of the program.

Bruce is going to relaunch the Bagua Mastery Program next week and is printing 100 copies. He received a lot of emails in the last two weeks about the program. It is likely that it will not be relaunched in 2013 and Bruce would like to offer it to those that want to.

Bruce is going to do a limited relaunch next week of the Bagua Mastery Program.  For teachers, Jess and Issac in Berkeley and if you are in Europe Paul Cavel and Jamie Dibden are great.

Hi Richard,

Are you saying that this will likely be the only re-launch for a few years or will there be another launch in 2012?

Also, I realize I could wait until the relaunch to find out, but are you able to let us know what it will cost? Or at least what the last one was ? Im just trying to budget before the relaunch.

I received the email today about the re-launch of the BMP but there is no link on the page with the videos to download the pdf although the instructions say “Click the link below”

Can some one send me the pdf or the correct download link?

To download the PDF you can go at the bottom page of the launch page and look for this:

It will be relaunched on Wednesday 14 December 2012 and this will be the last time it is available until 2013.
