    Month 12
The End of the First Year

    Tracking Subliminal Emotional Energies

    1. Continue complete and balanced front and side breathing (3 sets of 10)
–If you feel the need, take a short break after each cycle of 3 sets.
–After 3 sets of 10, take 20 seconds and let your breath continue on its own without trying to organize it.
    — Just become quietly aware how your internal world morphs and changes. Be aware of whatever bodily sensations, thoughts, moods, and emotions arise.

    2. Put extra attention with this installment to front and side breathing

    3. Find a relaxed and balanced way of sustaining your ability to stay present
–Keep aware of subtle energy signatures
–Keep resolving blockages that show up no matter how many times they reappear
–Following the golden thread will take you to the blockage itself and let you stay on the horse.
    — Stay present to this internally rocking horse. Sort out whatever spiritual glitches there may be

    4. Door to the unconscious—if you take on the journey inside yourself the only thing you will find is what’s in there.

    5. Focus after you find something blocked. Let the mind find an easy way to connect to the subliminal energy signal.
–Do this over time without force,
–Using a minimal amount of effort, breathe with the liver and spleen to give you the strength to stay on the blockage.
–Listening to a weird song on a weird station
–Stay present and follow the vibration. Let the mind find an easy way to stay connected.

    6. Observe the blockage as it gets bigger and smaller.
–You don’t want to get lost by the internal space when working on blockages
    –2 examples:
    a. Slow down and focus on your mind’s inner eye. As your mind gets calmer, focus on the flow within your forehead. Wait for the blockage to emerge. Stay present and observe. How does it change? Get thicker, larger, turn into fog, or get lighter.
Keep attention on the blockage with very little effort. Find the edge. Don’t go toward the distraction, and don’t go away from the blockage. They merge into one.

    b. Some are visual like rings. (Random pictures). They are blockages that show themselves in different ways.

With this month, we are beginning to travel in more esoteric realms and I don’t mean that in a bad way. I had difficulty in month 11 with raising emotions that I could hold, locate and observe. My emotions are always there but I couldn’t find the seat of them or from where they were emanating. The higher bodies present a great challenge to me.

We have been doing the practice for a year! I have made great progress in my meditation practice over this time and couldn’t have done it without the discipline and training provided by this group. Thank you.

Yes, a year! I made a lot of progress, too. This whole thing has been good. Thanks to all.

Thought this group might be interested in the upcoming breathwork virtual summit. Lot of great speakers: Kornfield, Lewis, Grof. It is free as a web cast. http://breathworksummit.com/

Thanks Ted for the information on the breathwork virtual summit. I plan on watching some of it this week. You might want to make a separate topic out of this so more people see it.

It is going to take me 10,000 lifetimes to track down all my emotional blockages.

I’m getting better at following emotional traces. As Bruce says they morph frequently and it is like you really have to stay with them.

First off, I gotta say for me this is the best audio instruction yet in the circle; I can’t put my finger on why or how.

I have a few questions regarding this month:

Is the golden thread we are following merely the energy behind the distraction (blockage) and we are following it’s energy rather than becoming distracted or spaced out by it?

When putting the spleen/liver breathing to work when on the edge of becoming distracted, I’ve been finding 1 or2 breaths is sufficient to regaining focus. Is that legal ? Or are we to be doing a set amount each time ie. 10?

I liked this one, too. Month 15 is pretty cool as well. I’m not exactly sure what the golden thread is. There’s a Bagua meditation about this I haven’t done yet. Its been 3 months since I did this meditation. I found the liver/spleen balance very powerful. I still do my best to count sets of 10, no matter what I’m working with. I think at a certain point, what’s important is our own understanding and personal application of a lot of these ideas based on these instructions. I look forward to hearing other folks’ responses.

Ive been hoping to hear other peoples responses to to my comment or to hear there experiences. Again, I’m really enjoying this month and have been wondering a few things:
To me it sounds like the blockages do not necessarily begin in our awareness as an emotional signature as I remember Bruce giving examples of blockages and it seemed to me he was saying that a blockage was a distraction and that we were to keep our attention to it very gently and follow it. Does sound correct/ make sense?
Also, for me while following what I percieve to be a blockage I seem to go through a cycle of something like the following:
Continuing to count my breaths on my fingers.
    Maintain alignments/proper breathing.
loose track of counting my breaths
    Employ liver/ spleen breathing
So my experience seems that i am partially accomplishing each of the tasks we are being instructed to do.
Ive also found it helpful recently to listen to the audio while practicing.
    Any thoughts or advice?

    Sorry I didn’t respond earlier.

I think the golden thread he refers to here is the thread of our awareness, though he’s used the term to mean other things in the Bagua mastery program. I don’t really know, but I intuitively understood it to mean a thread of awareness.

As far as blockages, I think Bruce defines blockages as occurring in any of the 8 energy bodies and that they are one of the root causes of distraction.

I’ve been counting solely in my head for many months. I had done that for years with Bruce’s Taoist breathing CDs and just feels natural to me. I find the three cycles of ten breathes an extension of the usual method that has really honed my attention. I rarely lose count of the 10 breathes though I sometimes lose count of whether I’m on the first, second, or third set.

In my own practice, I find I find I’m better at some things at different times, but there is a general improvement in each part of it over time.

I usually listen to the audio while meditating for the first week or so of a new practice. I sometimes get distracted when I listen to Bruce, so meditating in silence is deeper for me.

The liver/spleen balance was very powerful when I first found it and now can get there almost immediately. The heart practice in month 15 has also been ver powerful.

I would like to hear from other folks, too.

    Hello All,

So this is my second round on the TMC and I just started month 12 the other day.

Looking back at the first round I see that I still feel the same about this month- something about this month that touched me deeply. Im not sure if its possible for Bruce to transmit energetically through the audio some sort of subtle energetic of understanding to us but I feel as though I hit a noticeable “peak” in my practice, awareness and also how it crossed into my everyday life and personal spiritual development.

I feel like I “knew” that the bulk of our meditation experience was simply the contents of our energy bodies or red dust; but actually TASTING this was something that I feel I had yet to experience.

Correct me if I am off the mark but it feels like everything I experience in meditation as far as my thoughts, sensations, emotions are simply a result of some past experience therefore a blockage – NOT consciousness.

If so, it would seem to me as well as according to Bruce’s instruction that EVERYTHING that comes up in meditation that is NOT emptiness is to be dissolved. Which would make it our task to not become distracted by it and simply follow it consciously until it dissolves or we dissolve it.

Id love to hear your insights.

    Thanks,

    Kevin
