AnonymousGuestIt looks like the hips are moving side to side during the tiger walking movements. But when the hand movements are added are the hips still moving side to side or so they turn a little as the weight shifts from one leg to the other?
I found myself turning the hips as I shifted from one leg to the other. As I drew the left hand up the left side and shifted weight onto the right leg, my right shoulder and hip swung forward about 15 degrees (more if I wasn’t watching) Same for the other side.
Is this a side to side movement or is there some turning of the hips and torso as you shift weight? Maybe a sideview would be helpful? Thx.

AnonymousGuestHi,
Good question. The answer? Ideally, the hips are moving side to side as in the tiger walking movements, but not turning.
Good luck with this puzzle. As always, don’t get too hung up on what’s ideal. Do what you can do comfortably to get your best approximation of the “correct” movement. And then remember the ideal and keep finding your way toward it.
Remember to move toward the ideal through relaxation, rather than force.
Have fun,
Bill
