In the first meditation installment for this month after we do the counting practice for recognizing the conscious mind, Bruce tells us to sink our Qi from the top of our head to our Lower dantian.

Is this something that we should do after all meditation or qigong practice?

    Thanks

    Kevin

    Hi, kevin.

Rather than answer this specific question, I will just say that if you follow the practices Bruce teaches and study everything he’s written and published on this site, you can find the answer to almost all your questions. So that will take a long time and is a large investment of your time. However, it will ultimately be priceless for own development. Any questions that remain you should address to Bruce or one of his senior instructors. I’ve been studying this system since 2001 and consider myself a relative beginner, but there are folks in the ea community who have studied far longer and done extensive teacher training. Perhaps they’ll see you posts and respond.

    Best wishes,
    Matthew

    Hi Kevin,

Whenever Bruce teaches meditation, he has us finish in our lower dantien.

When we practice Qigoing, he’s had us finish the practice in one of two ways. 1) After you finish practicing, go back to your lower dantien and store whatever energy you can into your lower dantien. 2) Finish by going all way down below your feet.

    Hope this helps,
    Janak

    Thanks Matthew !

I always appreciate your insights as I did during the Taoist Meditation Circle. Every bit counts.

    Cheers!

    Thanks Janak!

I always finish dragon & tiger in my LDD but I have never really incorporated into my other practices although I’ve heard bruce mention these techniques and the importance of developing the LDD.

I will now include those two into my practice- thank you!!

    Kevin
