AnonymousGuestHello everyone,
Ive noticed that when moving from movement 2 to movement 3 I feel the need to widen my stance ( a little more than shoulder width). It feels like this allows me to keep my dong open when shooting as well as the opening of the kwa.
Then, when I transition into movement 4, I feel the need to narrow my stance (to about shoulder width).
I feel like others may feel the same. Can anyone say what is the correct method .
Cheers,
Kevin

AnonymousGuestHi Kevin,
From what I see on the video and from what Bruce says, I gather that the feet always stay at shoulder’s width.
I’ve felt same need you describe to widen my stance in mvt 3 the first times I practiced it, but as I focused more on the closing of the kwa, the need went away.
It’s just my 2 cents, since I’m a beginner just the same as you, and I find mvt 3 really difficult to perform correctly. Trying to do it in a smooth and fluid manner is a real stinker !Erwan

AnonymousGuestHi Erwan,
Thanks for your 2 cents. I will experiment with keeping the stance at shoulders width. Im finding it challenging to open my kwa with that stance but Ill work at it some more.
Cheers!

AnonymousGuestIts a total cliché, but every time I’ve found a movement to be challenge, and provided I manage to to it while respecting the 70 % rule (i.e. not pushing through the difficulty like a mule), that’s when I’ve reaped the greatest internal rewards.
cheers,
