My name is Bob Parsons and I am from Tulsa, Oklahoma. In 2007 I won two lean body challenges and decided to get my Personal Trainer certification with emphasis on the senior population. I knew aerobics was too stressful so I searched for a softer form of aerobics for the seniors. I discovered Tai Chi. I discovered Dr. Paul Lam’s Tai Chi for Health Programs in 2009 and have become certified in Yang, Sun and soon Chen. I teach Tai Chi for Arthritis, Diabetes, Osteoporosis, Tai Chi for Kids, Sword form and soon Fan form and eventually Cane form.

Understanding, Tai Chi is like an onion with it’s many layers of learning. Will we ever master Tai Chi? The answer is no. The goal is to become better every time you practice Tai Chi. Always build on yesterdays practice. Even though I have learn a lot from Dr. Lam, I continue to discover deeper principles of Tai Chi through Bruce. I hope with the study of the Tai Chi Mastery Program I will gain more internal insight to the flow of Chi and in doing so improve on what I already know. So far with the Wu style Tai Chi in the 40 lessons I have gained much, much more information already. I look forward to completing the whole Tai Chi Mastery Program.

My goal is to constantly improve on what I have learned and share this journey with as many people as I can. The benefits of Tai Chi go beyond our small mind set in the Western World. As I have joined Pilates with Tai Chi I have found that the mind/body connection has grown deeper.

Thanks Bruce for sharing your journey with us.
